Hello, I cannot even evaluate the property as the host was not picking up a phone and basically we didn't stay in the place, as no one was reacting after 10th of September. we were waiting with my 10 years old daughter for more than 2 hours and no response. Even afterwards no one was contacting us/ responding. no apology nothing. Fortunately, the customer center was able to fix our issue and found another place where we enjoyed our 7 nights stay in New York. big thanks to all the people I was in touch with who were really supportive and helped us. As we were not only guests waiting there for the check in who were is similar situation, I would strongly recommend to exclude this place from your offer as it is impacting your reputation and causing extra money while trying to fix the situation for your guests. Thank you.

This is not a hostile! This is someone's residence that they want you to come in and sleep on their couch. I walked up four flights of stairs to a room that had dirty dishes and someone's unmade bed and the person showing me the room actually lived in the room. They took me down two flights of stairs to the second floor and showed me another room that was no better. The neighborhood also was scary and I felt unsafe in that area. The people were I believe of Indian descent and tried to get me to stay but there was no way I felt unsafe and they wanted me to stay in rooms where they lived. Do not stay at this property it is not what it appears to be an in no fashion was it anything like the picture portrays.

Not as advertised, pictures were misleading. Other people sleeping on mattresses on the floor on what is supposed to be the living room, and on the way to the bedroom. Don't ever stay there, a complete scam.

I had a terrible experience at this New York hostel. I didn’t even get to check in because i was unable to reach the manager. Once I did get ahold of him, he was aggressive and confrontational when addressing my concerns. The stair conditions were unsafe, the room was in poor shape. I decided to stay elsewhere since i feared for my safety. The manager refused to refund any amount. Expedia was able to compensate some of my loss. Please believe the reviews. I asked Expedia to investigate this location and remove it from their site. I would not recommend staying here to anyone.

The whole apartment was such a muck with absolute hell-like appearance. Bathroom was dirty with wet cloths hanging around, kitchen was loaded with unwashed utensils and stove counter was in absolute mess. The 'common room' leading out of my room had heaps of stuffs piled upon like trash with bad smell. The room i was give barely had any space to stand even and door wont lock if you want to go outside. I had to be outside for 12-13 h because I couldnt bear to stay in the unit, despite paying for this muck. Couldn't report this earlier because it didn't feel safe for me to do so knowing my luggage was in the unit and I may loose it altogether if i get into any scuffle with the person maintaining the unit. I strongly recommend this property be removed from listing on expedia, so that people dont have to go through such horriid experience when traveling from abroad. I will have to report expedia for allowing such units to be listed and would request for the refund.

Great location but dirty apartment overall. And was advertised as "entire place" I didn't really believed it, had just one small room but still ad should not say "entire Place" if not the case. Also, guy was sleeping in the kitchen, so kitchen wasn't accessible.

I am in my 70's and not good with cell phones. there is no front desk and I had difficulty contacting the people who would give me the code to get into the facility. Online I paid the necessary in taxes in addition to room charge. At the facility I was asked by one of the residents to pay in cash for taxes in addition to what I paid online. It seemed like a scam to me, so I left. I wish I could get a refund because I did not stay any of the four nights I had booked for. I doubt that will happen because I doubt the owners have any desire to actually do the right thing. If I had been forewarned in an email I would have had the money or not booked at all. It's the new world we live in. No manager to talk to, and treated like I was an interruption. I don't think they care one bit.

Room is 6ftx9ft, really dirty, no light switch but an appliance to plug in. Walls are covered with questionable marks, holes everywhere, some 25 nails and hooks planted randomly all over the room. Door barely locks. Bedding is urrrh... Room is part of an apartment with 2 other occupants, the whole place is messy, noisy. Bathroom is absolutely awful and dirty. Access via dirty damaged stairs, with trash containers all over. Manager took me an additional $30 in cash under a pretext I barely understood. A nightmare.

The great value in this property is its prime location directly in the theater district in Manhattan. My room was clean, the building was very quiet & I had a good experience during my single night stay. Recommended but not for all tastes (unaccompanied female travelers might feel a touch unsafe due to the neighborhood)

Great location, nice co-guest, good space. Bathroom needs cover on heating pipe. Better than most: chinatown, brooklyn, queens

I recently stayed there and became sad for several reasons: The manager did not speak to me directly but sent a message asking for an extra $130 in cash for a property fee. Why? I had booked the house and paid all the fees upfront via internet. I explained everything over the phone but never met him in person; he only introduced me to an Indian lady. Reluctantly, I paid the fee to avoid making his colleague angry, as the manager warned. Unfortunately, they did not provide me with a receipt. Additionally, I couldn't lock the door of my private house, which made me feel unsafe. I closed the door of my private house when I went out. However, when I came back, I noticed that the door was open. I don't know why. Although the website stated that the internet was free, I couldn't find any Wi-Fi connection. I inquired about it but was unsuccessful. The communication was unprofessional. The apartment was noisy throughout the night, and I couldn't sleep during my stay. If I were to go back, I would choose a hotel over that dirty place. Regarding the extra cash, I spoke with the manager of the hotel, and they said that they did not ask for an extra fee. I'm sorry, I just wanted to clarify everything.

The Expedia listing says “Entire apartment to myself”. This is not true. It’s a shared space with beds and people everywhere! The bathroom was filthy, no toilet paper, and I did not feel comfortable. I slept there only 1 night until I could find better accommodations!

Can't lock room door from outside. Apartment was in bad shape. The people sleeping on the floor were emotionally unstable if not crack heads. I had to pay $33 on pay pal because they don't accept have a real CC card system which is utter trash. They should let it be known to have $30 cash so they don't have to report it on taxes.
