The staff that I encountered at the desk and bar were wonderful. The location was nice. However whoever owns the property needs to address maintenance, cleaning and the issue of an overpowering signature scent that is used in the property. I’m not a picky traveler or especially sensitive to smells but had to open the window to get fresh air. If the windows weren’t operable I would have had to move to another hotel.

I was staying in Lidingo again - just one night. The Foresta hotel is perfectly located. Don't let the 1960s facade outside put you off - they have done the inside up very well. Terrace bar outside is pleasant with decent weather, with loads of seating inside when not. The 6th floor restaurant is excellent. Be sure to use that - and take in the view of Stockholm. Not much parking at the hotel, though. Check-in is at the bar through the entrance. Nice staff. The new spa opens soon, apparently. Recommended.

I was in Stockholm in business trip. Short stay at Villa Foresta. The outside of the hotel looks dated, but do not let that put you off. It’s had a wonderful refurb on the inside. Check in is at the lobby bar. Drinks out on the terrace on a nice day, or inside st sample chairs & tables. A nice comfortable room to sleep in. An excellent restaurant and service up on 6th floor. Really good food. Breakfast is the usual spread on the ground floor, in restaurant at back bar. No negatives. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for two nights while visiting family in the area. The location is convenient as it is close to shops and easy transportation to the city centre. The property is beautifully decorated—room was comfortable and quiet and the view over the Lidingö bridge and the inlet was fantastic. Staff were friendly and accommodating when I requested a late checkout. Breakfast was very nice and had everything needed. Highly recommend this excellent hotel— will definitely be back again.

Great hotel overlooking water. We stayed on Lidingo but am sure you could stay here and ‘do’ Stockholm. Friendly staff, distinctive decor and great views. Breakfast good too

On a Saturday the restaurant was supposed to be open. It was not and empty and deserted. Shower way too small

Jättefint hotell, fin utsikt och bra läge precis vid Lidingöbron. Frukosten väl godkänd. Hyfsat nära Lidingöbanan men en rejäl backe upp. Kul spelrum med biljard mm. Dyr parkering men parkering är gratis på Lidingö i övrigt, så det går att komma runt. När vi var där var där en mycket högljudd konferensefterfest som hördes upp på rummet fram till ett på natten. Vi var två som oberoende var nere o sade till men ingen signifikant sänkning. Om detta inte händer igen så bor jag gärna där igen.

Personalen kunde inte riktigt incheckningsrutin när vi anlände vilket förlängde incheckningen något. Duschen hade bakfall så när vi duschade blev det blött i hela badrummet. Schampo, tvål, balsam slut i duschen. Trevligt bemötande, bra frukost och ombonat och elegant känsla i övrigt.

Ett ställe man gärna vill komma tillbaka till. Vilken atmosfär, så fint med vänlig och hjälpsam personal.
