The limited check in time and nobody to help as I arrived at 1820 meant I had to pay for another hotel for the night. The pub was closed despite it saying it was open on the hotel website.

Right on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales sets an idyllic location for this friendly pub/ hotel. Very friendly welcome with exceptional hospitality. The room was clean and of a good size, a very comfortable stay and the staff could not be more helpful. This property is also very pet friendly. Highly recommended

The accommodation and staff were exellent. However the hotel only reopened at Easter following refurbishment. The bar has limited opening closing between 5pm and 7pm and food is only served until about 5pm at the present time which means guests have to eat early or find another option for dinner, which is about a 25 minute walk into Skipton.

Recently renovated and room was excellent. Great value for money.

Good luck to the new owners of this venture, they all worked hard to make us welcome. Breakfast freshly cooked and excellent value Evening meals as above. Would recommend this place to anyone, and we would return again

None of the above. The hotel was dreadful. No roaring fire...no evening meal/food...no breakfast. I have stayed in better Truck stops.

I slept in a very comfortable bed, lovely linen, great shower. Food was honest and excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful

“Bar only opened five weeks ago”; “kitchen only opened three weeks ago”; “we’re new and never run a hotel before”. WiFi didn’t work, consequently smart TV didn’t either. It was a bit like walking into someone’s front room

Lovely place to stay while visiting relatives. Loved that our room had out door entrance. Perfect for our little dog too. Views are amazing and great for walking too

Rooms are small, but recently refurbished, bright and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful, but business has recently reopened and there are still processes that need to be sorted out.

Room was clean, as was bathroom, though the latter could do with modernisation. Food was fine - all in all, did the job and good value
