Gweta Lodge was a perfect break point in our journey, we stayed two nights. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We had a lovely village walk one morning, and then enjoyed the evening drive to the pans visiting the Bushmen and the meerkats on the way. The facilities are good enough to make you feel relaxed and at home. We had a lovely time.

We stayed 2 nights in Gewta Lodge and had a good time. The lodgings are good (especially for the area) and we enjoyed the activities we booked (overnight pan stay and meerkats tour, baobab sundowner, Nxai pan visit and safari). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food is great but is actually buffet only even though they have an a-la-carte menu. But when you stay here, you need to understand a few things. Gweta, like the rest of Africa, may have power outages. This affects the entire town and is not the lodge's fault. The wifi is not good, and that may be because of how far Gweta is from the major towns. A few things could be improved to make the stay more comfortable. Firstly, there is no airconditioning in the rooms (only a ceiling fan) and it gets extremely hot in the rooms. If it is not possible to put airconditioning in the rooms, then installing fly screens on the windows and doors would help to air out the heat in the rooms without having mosquitos and other bugs fly into the room. Secondly, the outdoor toilet is a nice idea, but aside from the bugs (including big wasps), the leaves and flowers were actually quite annoying because they cover the entire floor and sink. A material shade over the bathroom would help with that (and the bugs). Thirdly, the bar was empty and they told us to go to the supermarket (which is only a 2 minute walk away) for drinks. If the supermarket is so close, the lodge should be able to keep the bar stocked. Otherwise, thank you!

Please be careful with the place! Im giving 1 star for everything. We booked it a day before, came to the place, and it turned out there was no electricity in all place and there was a big malfunction not possible to be repaired this day so we were refused to stay. These things happen so I was ok with it and we went to another place and I’ve got the message from the Gweta lodge that they will ask Expedia to refund us as it was obviously their fault. After holidays when I asked for a refund and when will we get it, the complications started as Expedia didn’t want to refund us because the manager of the place changed his mind and didn’t accept to give a refund. I’ve contacted him and he told us the electricity came finally and it was us who resigned on our own which is obviously not true ( why we get the message from them straight away that we will be refunded?), and later ignored me at all :/ So please be careful and better find other place, as in any case they won’t help you even it’s the fault of the hotel. I feel very disappointed about it.

Vi hade bokat en "stuga". Badrum en-suite, men utomhus. Det regnade och finns ett rum med badrum inomhus. Bra service. Buffet till middag, men man får bara ta en gång. Ett pris för huvudrätt. Inkludera starter och desert till högre pris. Mycket skräp på "bakgården".
