Highly recommend this eco-friendly stay at Hotel Sierra Negra on Isabela Island in the Galápagos! The thoughtful sustainable design and low-impact practices, along with excellent fresh water from a local distributor, made our Galápagos trip feel truly responsible and comfortable. Host Abel was incredibly helpful and accommodating, sharing excellent local insights, arranging tours, and going out of their way to make us feel at home with very good Starlink internet.

Perfect location, very recommend!

The location is the hotel is great, just on the beech . We booked a room with the village view first, than Martha was kind enough to upgrade us. The ocean view was unbelievable!!! We enjoyed our stay a lot!! They have free coffee and fridge in the lobby to use, they also provide beach towels! We will stay there again!

This is my first time staying in a hostel versus a traditional hotel. The only thing that surprised me was that there were no shampoo, conditioner or hairdryer, but that might be normal for hostels and now that I know I can be prepared next time. The view was amazing from our room that looked over the ocean. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The owner Abel was very friendly. One thing that was extremely helpful for me is that we were able to keep our luggage there until our taxi arrived since we were taking the afternoon ferry. This allowed my family to enjoy the day on Isabela. One other thing that he does that was really amazing was that he always has a free room so if you do need to come back after you check out, to use the restroom or whatnot, he has a place for guests to use. There is also water for refills. It's very walkable to restaurants off the beach where the food is excellent, as well as to the flamingos and Concha Perla. It's also very easy for any tour companies to come pick you up.

Close to everything, rooms are clean, right on the beach and hot water is hot! AC but no tv, but who needs tv out here!

You pay for the view! Excellent location, but property needs some work. Beds were rock hard, bathrooms were in need of some work. Breaks fast was ok, but provided at a restaurant a few minutes walk away.

Ocean view room was amazing. Like being in a postcard. Hotel is on the beach. Super clean, comfortable, spacious room, friendly helpful staff. Very quiet. Beach never has more than 5 people on it at once. Spectacular sunset. Sunrise can be seen too because of location on island.

Overall decent experience. Slightly smelly bathroom and complimentary coffee setup was poor. Hot water for instant coffee wasn’t hot, sugar looked dirty and no milk or cream. We had our coffee elsewhere. Great staff and view but unimpressive building. I wouldn’t avoid the place but would consider it worthwhile to pay a little more for something slightly better.

The hotel was ideal for a two day vacation with my hubby. We loved that it was close to everything. Abel and Gonzalo, the front desk attendants were incredible, supporting with ideas and tours.

Excellent beach front hotel with close proximity to the town center. Staff is very friendly and helpful, room was clean with hot water and clean sheets and towels. Would come back to Theo property if back to Isabela

We visited Isabella island and stayed here for one night. The looks of this hotel from the outside are deceiving. It a very nice, bright, clean hotel that is steps away from the beach! You can hear the ocean waves at night. Love this place!

Waterfront location is fantastic! Beds are very hard, odd but had to ask for towels as they were zero in the room, asked for blow dryer also

I splurged on a beachfront room and was not disappointed! It was so wonderful falling asleep to the sound of waves, and seemed a bargain at under $100. No tv (no problem), the a/c and hot water worked well. I also had a small balcony. Breakfast was included, and served at a little cafe one block inland. Eggs, fruit, bread, juice, coffee. Several restaurants on the beach in either direction. Filtered water dispenser by front desk had both hot&cold, with instant coffee and an assortment of teas. Hotel arranged for a taxi to take me to the ferry very early in the morning. Thank you to the kind gentleman clerk who carried my suitcase up the stairs at check-in.

The room was a good size and the view out to the ocean could not be beat. One complaint might be that there was a lack of places to hang wet towels or clothing. Another was the frosted window that let light into the room at night from the stairwell. It served no purpose other than to keep the room bright. With that being said, the gentleman who ran the hotel was exceptional. Always helping us out, very accommodating and always with a happy disposition. The included breakfast was at a nearby restaurant and very tasty. The location could not be beat.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Sierra Negra on Isabela Island for 3 nights. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and could hear the waves from the room. It is a 20 minute walk from the ferry terminal and close to restaurants, tour companies and shopping. We LOVED being directly on the beach and having an ocean view that included breakfast. It was well worth the price. There was always someone on-site to help and answer questions. The shower water pressure room 8 was a bit low but the room was clean and bed comfy. The breakfast was great with coffee, juice, fruit, eggs and toast. We would stay there again.

Right on the water. Next o restaurants. Crack the slider and listen to the ocean waves come in. $3 cab ride from the ferry. Ocean facing worth the upgrade. We arrived late, owner met us at the main entrance. Free coffee! We will stay here again!

Fantastic location, 5 steps from the beach and next to all of the ocean-front restaurants. The hotel is basic, but clean. The staff was very friendly!

We enjoyed the beachfront views and the sounds of the waves. The beds were very hard and the rooms were a bit grungy. The staff was responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast.
