Un lugar espectacular para desconectar, recomiendo fin de semana, en la semana están en remodelación y hay mucho ruido debido a la misma. Deben darle unas mejoras a las casitas, especialmente a la madera

Perfect vacation

If you are looking for tranquility this is the place for you. The views are breathtaking and what postcards and painting are based off of. The property is meticulously maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We did have a few miscommunications but they always made sure to correct it. The food is what you would expect at a five star resort and they delivered every time. The rooms/casitas are very private with your own plunge pools It’s set on a 2000 acre reserve. The food is locally sourced and the vegetables are grown on the grounds. Make sure you reserve a spot for yoga on the 17th hole which overlooks the ocean, weather permitting! We did sunrise yoga. We also took advantage of the in room massages which were done so professionally! Well worth it! The food is made to order so plan on a bit of a wait. But I can assure you it’s well worth it. The portions are generous! Take the walk to the secluded beach that only accessible to the resort. You can’t swim there but it’s stunning and a bit of a hike. Well worth it! The resort is gated so you do feel secure and they pick you up with a golf cart to bring you to your casita. Great service especially at night. It’s dark! Even with the remodeling work on several casitas it was hardly noticeable. If you love golf this course looks amazing! Unfortunately we don’t play. You can’t go wrong with this resort. It’s a can’t miss and we were so happy to find it!

El lugar es excelente: muy bonito, bien mantenido y el cuarto en muy buenas condiciones, excepto algunos detalles que no afectan la experiencia general. Lo único que no estuvo al nivel fue la comunicación antes de la llegada; al solicitar ayuda, simplemente nos indicaron que buscáramos la información por internet. En general, nos encantó el sitio, pero esos detalles son los que llevan una experiencia de buena a excelente o de lujo. El restaurante principal estuvo bien, aunque nada fuera de lo común. En el almuerzo, a pesar de estar vacío, el servicio fue bastante lento. En la cena, en cambio, el servicio fue excelente y la música en vivo le dio un toquecito bueno.

The Royal was aesthetically beautiful. Breathtaking. The staff that work service there are very friendly and attentive. However here is why my review is so bad: we had paid extra to have the room decorated for our honeymoon. We arrived and it was beautiful, however we discovered too late that there was no hot water. There were a lot of cockroaches, like the furniture was crawling and families of cats fighting eachother outside the casita for your leftover restaurant food that they instruct you to leave covered on the bench outside. My review is a lot longer an detailed; but there’s not enough room to leave it here. They offered a different casita the after the hot water fiasco but the honeymoon night was already spoiled and it was day two. So we decided to stay, then the roaches, they only offered to spray. Didn’t work. No one ever reached out to me like they said they would after our checkout to make it right. No refund credit or anything. Ridiculous for such an expensive resort to be crawling with roaches. I have videos of the roaches too. But Expedia doesn’t allow video posting.

The food and staff were a highlight. The golf course is stunning and super private. The property is the nicest places I've stayed in PR and I have been going for almost 30 years.

Everyone we interacted with was friendly and courteous. Even the "nature view" casitas can still see the ocean, and we loved having our own private pool, although the hotel pool is beautiful, too. The adventure experiences with Jorge were highlights of the trip—we did an ebike tour and learned how to eFoil on the river, neither of which we'd ever done before. The food at the restaurants was fresh and delicious, even though the service was pretty slow. I highly recommend the quick hike down to the beach, where you can crack open a coconut with a rock and drink the water while watching the waves crash along the rocks.

Great resort!

We are probably not the "typical crowd" for a resort like this, we splurged on a few days here as part of a honeymoon trip this summer. We chose this place specifically for the mini private pools on the balconies at each Casita - while they are beautiful in the photos, ours (casita 12) was kind of gross in person, which was disappointing. I think it's a landscaping issue - there are beautiful Ficus trees that grow over the pools but the Ficus are being eaten by these massive beetles that jump into the pool, so while you're trying to relax you just end up getting divebombed by bugs the size of your thumb. When you consider that all additional amenities cost extra (dining, experiences, spa/massage, even the wine in the minibar), it really makes it less worth the nightly price if you can't enjoy the patio around the casita, either. The beach at the property isn't recreational, so you have to drive (I recommend Jobos or Pozo Teodoro). I will say, the staff were EXCEPTIONALLY kind - the bellhops were so friendly, the woman in the front office was so nice, etc, so the service and everything else we experienced was excellent. It is a beautiful property other than the bugs and in a great location.
