The room was recently renovated and very nice, clean and roomy. Housekeeping changed the towels. The hallway was not clean due to ongoing construction renovation in other rooms. Laundry room was available but dusty due to construction. Staff were frindly and very helpful.

Our room was remodeled and very nice. Only complaint is the tub/shower is very slippery and no grab bar. Something needs to be done with that for sure. The rest of the place is nasty. Dirty with construction supplies in the hallway. I understand remodeling but if your using a room for breakfast it should be clean and food freshly supplied.

Hotel was under renovation. Had it been advertised, we would NOT have stayed there. The room itself was just ok. The air conditioner was old and filthy. The hallway was not acceptable. Construction materials, paint on carpet. Debris. The front reception smelled like curry and wet socks. We arrived at 10pm after traveling for 1hors, staff was not pleasant nor friendly. The breakfast area was literally a room of tables with clear plastic covers, no appetizing at all. Selection of food was minimal, no bacon or sausage. Although the server behind the counter was pleasant. I will say though, the beds were comfortable. I'll give it that and that only.

Although the hotel is under renovation and most of it is taken apart, the room was modern, clean, new and comfortable. The breakfast was great. It will be a great place to stay once renovations are complete.

I stayed in a kitchenette. It was Newly renovated and a very big nice. Same size as a 1 bedroom apartment.. very clean and was walking distance to everything. Staff are very friendly and more than egar to assist you and help in any means. Free wifi and cable TV. Lots of room, laundry in the building.. I was very impressed and would definitely be staying there again..

Floor was filthy in unit, no dusting done, outside full of garbage and broken glass morning staff * girl was nice, evening staff shorter guy not friendly

Motel is under renovation (May 2026) so hallways are a mess. Room was renovated so very nice. Best Breaskfast we had nothing road trip.

Renovation going on but the room is good inside parking not cemented so bit muddy if its raining stay but all in all location is good and staff good

Renovated rooms are good

The place looks a little rough from the outside as they are in the process of renovating. My room was new, clean and excellent. Staff was wonderful

Motel was being renovated thus very few amenities. Room assigned was small, awkward and little room for luggage etc. Very few electrical outlets and you had to unplug things to plug in other things such as phone chargers.

The hotel is still under renovation, little messy in common area, but room is pretty new.

Don’t let the construction fool you, the rooms are excellent! They are renovating and the hallways are a bit of an eye sore but once you arrive at your room you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Nicely renovated rooms including bathroom. New, clean and comfortable so if you’re looking for a nice room at a reasonable rate this is a go to for sure.

It was under renovation and not what I was looking for

The room and breakfast were excellent, possibly better than your average mid-range chain hotel. I was unsure given the state of the hallway (quite dirty due to off-season renovations in progress), but was pleasantly surprised on both counts. I'd have to be in a bad mood to find anything the complain about. I liked this hotel better than ones I have stayed at in Thunder Bay on other trips. There are two good restaurants within a two-minute walk, plus the A&W across the street. I enjoyed walking on the rocks near the boat launch...gorgeous!

Wow.. Buckle up! Gentleman doing check-in was great, zero complaint. The place is being Reno's, unfortunately we got a pre-reno room.. I'm good with that, I don't need much. Room was old with stained carpet.. Even that didn't really bother me that much - it's a pet friendly room. What got me though was the bed REEKED of cheap cologne or Axe or something. Without a doubt the worst choking stink I've had to put up with. The best part of the night was waking up before the alarm and packing up since sleep wasn't to be. Check out was very smooth and the woman at the desk was super friendly as well. Zero complaints.

The newly renovated rooms are very nice. Difficult to comment otherwise as renovations are in process.

Cozy bed. Beautiful renovations. Staff was friendly and helpful! The hot water takes quite awhile each time to heat up. The room freshener was quite potent, very strong had to open window but overall a very nice stay.
