Great place to stay for Ambleside and the Lakes. Just five minute walk into town. Small room but you expect that in the Lakes. There is parking (it is very tight!). We didn’t see any staff but they sent us comprehensive self check in info. Everything you need for a couple of nights in Ambleside. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Ambleside - would definitely recommend and will be staying again. Misplaced the room key and the staff responded almost instantly through the WhatsApp contact and replaced within minutes - couldn’t fault them! The breakfast was basic but what we expected, toast to set us up the day. Only recommendation for our room, 15, would be some drain unblocker for the shower! Everything had been thought of, especially for the hot weather with multiple fans and a small aircon unit!

Strange set up. Pretty much no staff involved at any point, suggests you have to check in by a certain time but check in is via key box so no person actually needed. Room was on the small side but comfortable and shower was powerful but very odd shape. All signage is to old hotel name - Fisherbeck, which confuses for finding it. Breakfast very basic, wouldn’t count it towards value of booking.

Breakfast lounge was sparse, no plates so had to use a lid from something else to butter and eat toast. Parking was easy and useful in The Lakes. Room was nice and bed was large and comfy, downside was the heat from the large floor to ceiling windows in the sitting lounge at the front with no way to cool it down. Be better if we weren’t having a heatwave! Overall it was a nice enough place, well positioned for Ambleside and Waterhead and parking was a plus.

Lovely modern clean & spacious room with super comfy bed, walk in shower & a very welcome large fan on a very hot day- nice touch & well thought out. Would definitely recommend & return. Plenty of parking too

Excellent from receiving information about how to check in and out which made it very easy . Very clean room , Excellent location with parking . Very big comfy bed , big bathroom with separate shower cubicle .All in all Excellent place to stay while visiting the lakes

The light breakfast room had no cups for drinks. It relied very much on people cleaning up after themselves. Which alot didn't. The room was great, the bath was a spa bath. There was an unbelievably good fan in the room aswell. I would stay there again because of the reasonable price

The room was clean and tidy, friendly staff,plenty of parking spaces don’t arrive too late, and coffee toast and cereal free in the morning excellent place too stop for a night or two.

Quick friendly communication with information. Parked car. Logged it on the tablet. Opened room key safe with number emailed to me. Clean, well decorated room with everything required including extra heater and fan. Clearly being upgraded at present. Good price. Excellent, will stay again!

The room was quite clean and the instructions to enter the property were quite clear. Parking can be a little tricky as it gets filled up during night time outside the property. However, there are options to park your car nearby. Overall, the stay was great as the room was comfortable and clean with a great view.

Everything was amazing and so easy. Received great instructions the day before check in with videos etc. The check in process was a doddle, as was checkout. The comms via whats app was so efficient. I requested the chance of a later check out and they managed to extend this to 11:30 no questions asked. Room was stunning, bed was SO comfortable and it was less than a 10 minute walk into Ambleside. Also highly reccommend the stone baked pizza hut next door - AMAZING!!!! Would most certainly stay again

Clean, comfortable, quiet room just five minutes walk from the centre of Ambleside. Arrived by 555 bus from Kendal, the stop is just outside. Instructions for check in were clear and comprehensive. Would definitely stay again.

Good parking

Heated mirror has exposed electrical connections with brown insulation tape covering it, not correct IP rating for a sink/ bathroom. Extractor fan going incorrect way flowing dust into bathroom. White carpet not very white anymore (minor) Walking distance to alot of good stuff nearby.

The room we stayed in over last weekend (hot weather weekend) we could not have the windows open because it had a wasp nest directly above the window in the guttering, I enformed them they told me what they had done and they were going to they kept me informed of every step which was fine With the weather being so hot it the room was a little unbearable at times during the night I know wasps do not come out at night, but they do early morning

Have stayed before and staff very helpful and any problems they will deal with it. Rooms are lovely and I stayed in a suite with mountain view which is lovely. A fridge freezer and two microwaves are

Positives Parking, location, generally clean. Fine for a night or two. Negatives Noisy floor boards- made difficult to sleep, shower in a cupboard- bathroom tiny, bed too soft, sofa uncomfortable. No human contact- all via WhatsApp.
