I had a very disappointing experience with Radisson Hotel. I accidentally booked the wrong date, and when I reached out for help to cancel or modify the reservation, the staff pretended to assist me. They said they would contact Traveloka to help with the process.
Later I learned that Traveloka uses a third-party service, and any refund or cancellation depends on approval from the hotel. Here’s the twist: the hotel manager directly told me they already agreed to the cancellation and were just waiting for confirmation from Traveloka and their third-party partner.
Despite this, the whole process became unnecessarily complicated and confusing. I was constantly bounced back and forth between the hotel, Traveloka, and the third-party without any resolution. In the end, I decided not to stay at the hotel, and worse — I didn’t get my money back.
So be warned: if you book through a third-party platform and make a mistake, even if the hotel says they agree to cancel, you might still get stuck in a bureaucratic mess. For a hotel with Radisson’s reputation, this was a major letdown.
