Salt water pool can only use less than half. If you want to go on other side (inflatable side) you need life jacket which you need to reserve a time slot. Said time slot is only 20 min. Rented a cabana 5 days. Was never informed cost of cabana is a credit that can be used to purchase alcohol (bottle). If you don’t use it you lose it pretty much. Golf course we booked through hotel paid $400/person which states food and drink included. Arrived to course there were breads came back after front 9 and no food in sight place look abandoned. Finished back 9 and still no food. Had to go all day with food until we got back to resort. This resort is in Cancun and entrance is less than pleasing almost feels like you’re going through the back door of building. No restaurants outside for outside seating everything indoors. Gym was nice but not nearly big enough to accommodate all guests. Very busy. If you don’t like hectic loud and crowded places avoid the buffet, enter off ordering room service. Wouldn’t come here again.

The hotel was was really clean the food was okay. The restaurant food portion is really small. The huge property smells like the beach put the smelly smell. Definitely book through hotels.com you receive credits that you would to pay for bowling, escape room, golf, baseball, spa, & laser tags to our extra fees but through hotel you only pay 30%. A lot of walking through the hotel can stress that enough 😭! Very close to the airport. Believe it or not uber was actually good to get around in. Please bring cash can’t stress that enough either.

We were traveling with family and kids. This resort is both exceptionally large (inside) and can feel small (family pool is really only swim option). The water park is geared toward younger kids. There is north and south wing of the building that is approx a kilometer in length. Our room was in the north end of the north building so walking to the main breakfast buffet can get your daily steps in. Our room was spacious enough. The beds were exceptionally soft. All rooms are ocean facing and a tub on the balcony but with the seaweed smell we didn’t spend any time on the balcony. There are lots of was to spend more money. The arcade cost us a lot of money with the kids. We also did the F1 simulator, bowling and batting cages which were also extra. There is a golf sim as well. There is a kids club that targets younger kids and a teen club for older which leaves 10 year olds a bit lost. The staff inside most restaurants was good but the family poolside staff was exceptional. The kids found that all of the evening activities were indoors and wishes there more outside. We’ve traveled to Cancun multiple times and while we enjoyed ourselves this resort doesn’t rank as a must return for us.

The suite and pools were fantastic. There is a pool option for everyone- beach like zero entry, calm, shallow and kid friendly, lively, swim up bar, etc. No shortage of options. Our Penthouse 2 bedroom corner suite couldn’t have been better. Staff were great and attentive. Kid’s club space and staff was amazing. Our kids loved it and gave us some down time without kids as a part of our stay, not an added cost - WOW. The beach was more for view than use as the seaweed across Cancun has become a big problem. That is why there are so many great pool options, that are saltwater too. The only thing that didn’t blow us away was food. It was plentiful but l felt like standard offerings and missed some of the things we look forward to with other resorts we’ve been to between offerings and flavors. Seemed like shrimp was the only seafood you could easily find for example. The stand-outs was the street taco stand that was available all the time (yum!) and the coffees in the morning. We’d come back for a family fun and relaxing trip, especially with kids! If we want a food focused trip, we’d probably look elsewhere.

AVA Resort Cancun exceeded our expectations in every way. The resort is modern, elegant, and beautifully designed. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the service was consistently exceptional. We loved the variety of restaurants, the relaxing pools, and the evening entertainment. Every detail made our vacation feel special. This is the perfect destination for couples and families looking for a luxurious all-inclusive getaway. We can’t wait to return.

We were a bit let down with our dinner reservation at the restaurant. We were hoping for Italian cuisine, but we were instead served Mediterranean dishes. The plate they brought was meant to be shared among four people, but it only contained four tacos of different meats. We asked for two more plates, as we were nine people in total, but they said the restaurant had to close. However, they did bring two plates, and the food wasn’t great. The sheets were clean and changed right away, which was a plus. However, considering the price we paid, the place didn’t quite live up to the 5-star rating.

Small resort. Had to make reservations for all restaurants which was not convenient at all. Especially when you have kids and have to time out everything. Food was okay. Definitely disappointed at The Butcher. We asked for medium rare, steak came out super bloody. We sent it back and they just microwaved it. It came back well done!

We were eagerly anticipating our visit to this resort, particularly because it offers an all-inclusive package that is ideal for families with young children. To our dismay, however, our experience was marred by several inconveniences. Upon arrival, we encountered aggressive behavior from the time share staff. While we were primarily there for a vacation and not interested in purchasing anything additional, our initial excitement was quickly dampened. Unfortunately, our trip took a turn for the worse when my partner fell ill due to food poisoning the day after our arrival. And later, I also contracted the same illness. These major inconveniences disrupted our plans and made the trip far less enjoyable than we had hoped. Despite reporting these issues to Expedia and expressing our desire for a resolution, the hotel’s response was unhelpful, rather blamed us. It was only after I persistently pressed the matter that they finally acknowledged the severity of the situation and offered medical assistance. In terms of food, our children enjoyed the pasta and pizza. Overall, the food was mediocre. An additional drawback was the absence of a swimmable beach within the resort. Guests must leave the premises to experience a proper beach setting. Similarly, the kids’ club and activities were underwhelming. While the resort itself is aesthetically pleasing, there are limited included activities. I would never recommend this hotel, I think there are much better options in Cancun to enjoy!

Overall, the resort is excellent. It is very new and beautiful, and all of the staff have been incredibly friendly and helpful. The only issue is that our bed appears to have bed bugs. My child and I both woke up this morning covered in red, itchy bites.。
