Room was mediocre. First room we were given the toilet was broken so we had to move, our "upgrade" was a smaller room but had a balcony. Breakfast was very average.

I had a bit of trouble with the door lock, but otherwise fine. Spacious room, view of the golf course. Breakfast good.

Reception staff helpful and friendly but couldn’t solve any problems. No robes or slippers in our room and room not serviced once during 3 night stay. (Someone came at 15.10 one day when we had a taxi booked at 15.35 to go to an event. They could not return 20 minutes later). Large notice saying breakfast closed at 10.20 on Sunday despite advertising 10.30 and hardly any food left, couldn’t even get a piece of toast. Shame the overall experience was so disappointing.

Stayed here before and as I was working locally I returned. Check-in was quick and given a ground floor room which was nice. I was able to unpack and relax for the remainder of the evening. Due to work I didn't stay for breakfast.

Hotel is designed for golfing holidays and all the emphasis is placed on golfing guests even to the extent of serving breakfast to these clients and guests having to ask to make a breakfast order. If you are not a golfer do bother, I stayed a Sunday night and was one of 2 guests, only person in the cold, bar with poor choice of dinner menu and TV blarring out a football match. Waited at reception on leaving for a good while and nobody came to the desk in the end I left my room key as I had a meeting and could not wait for attendance.

Pretty average. Needs a customer care course. Waited 10 minutes to check in nobody in attendance! Then found previous occupants chips and kebab remnants in my regards I’m fridge. Might have been an idea to suggest I get my £10 breakfast complimentary maybe?? Nobody thought of that idea £24 for a pretty average steak Go elsewhere! It’s a good club not in my opinion a decent hotel

Room was a great size smart tv comfortable bed and clean, WiFi good speee, breakfast was good, staff were friendly but in the bar downstairs despite me being the only one in the bar ordering food I was made to wait a long time for a sandwich on both occasions. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8:45 am on the day I was due to check out they should know when I am checking and not be knocking my door at such an early time.

Sauna and Steam room reeked, slow check in, says in hotel info that tea and coffee to go are available near reception but no cups and receptionist didn't have a clue about this. Room clean and tidy (room 6) but buzzing sound from roof and no blind so as soon as the suns up its in your eyes so your awake. WiFi good as was TV with Netflix on it but wouldn't stay again. Didn't opt for breakfast because of the price.

The bedroom was excellent as was the food and service for dinner in the bar. The service at breakfast was poor and the breakfast itself mediocre. You had to use a tear off sachet of coffee put it in a cup and fill it with water from a jug that by the time we got to it was cool. The bar area was vast and furnished for groups of golfers rather than hotel guests. The walls were festooned with trophy winners over the years. There was nothing inviting or pleasurable about it for hotel guests

In the middle of nowhere, but cheaper than closer to where I wanted to go. As it turned out the premises were excellent!

Dissapointed that the restaurant was closed on a Monday night which meant I had to eat in the sports bar.. which was full when i arrived so had to wait for a table which though not the sort of table you would eat off.. was more for holding drinks. Had been a long day so had to endure have a live football match played on the large tvs. Food was good though just ambience not what i was wanting. Window could shut which meant it was very drafty and cold and bedroom fire door would not close without pulling hard.. pointed out these points to the duty manager who promised they would be rectified. Wont be returning.

The hotel and rooms were really nice, couldn't fault it one bit, especially considering the price. On to the negative, we decided to book a room to freshen up and take a short nap. we had a long day travelling, shopping and had more travelling later at night. we arrived at roughly 6pm and only planned on staying for a couple of hours. Upon arrival we informed the receptionist of our inebriated for a very short stay. We entered our room and shortly after we received a phone call from the receptionist who said "hi there, just to confirm you're only staying for an hour or two, why would you pay £48 for this, what's the real reason", this was incredibly humiliating and insulting as it insinuated soliciting. Our short stay became very sour. During check out we questioned the receptionist, why she felt necessary to ask, she started that she was confused and it didn't make sense, whilst holding a very condescending grin on her face. This was a very humiliating start for us, we'd spent money to be questioned in a very distasteful manner. Only for her to not being apologetic whatsoever.

It took the hotel 1 1/2 hours to get us a satisfactory room. The keycard for the first room failed to operate the door. The receptionist showed us to the incorrect room for the second room, so again the keycard failed to open the door. The third room we couldn't get wifi and we were initially not informed of a different wifi password. Eventually the fourth room we were were given was fine and as we had expected. The receptionist was initially very pleasant, but was unable to rectify the situation or put us at ease over the issues. This then turned into sarcasm and a very unprofessional approach to us. In the morning the fire alarm was activated by steam from someones shower. It took hotel staff around 10 minutes to silence the alarm and investigate the reason. Most of the hotel staff just continued to do their job instead of evacuating the hotel with guests. Staff should have more training with regard to the fire alarm system and procedures to follow in the event of an alarm going off..
