Tips when Visiting Sanrio Puroland
Prioritize Shorter LinesConsider skipping the Sanrio Character Boat Ride and MyMeRoad Drive if the lines are long. These two rides, akin to Disneyland's It's a Small World and Fantasyland attractions like Peter Pan's Flight or Snow White's Scary Adventure, tend to have lengthy wait times. On weekends, expect to wait at least 1-2 hours. Even on weekdays, the lines can be considerable. We recommend assessing the wait times before queuing, especially if you have limited time.
Manage Your Expectations at the Character Food CourtWhile the Character Food Court offers Japanese cuisine with a Sanrio-themed twist, be prepared for higher-than-average prices. Consider dining here only if you're particularly hungry or if you're eager to capture an adorable Instagram-worthy food post.Plan Ahead: Check the Calendar
Before your visit, be sure to check the online calendar. Unlike some theme parks like Disneyland, Sanrio Puroland isn't open every single day. Typically, they close on Thursdays, but occasionally there are other days for maintenance or other reasons. You can find their online calendar here.
Catch the Shows: Check the Schedule
Don't miss out on the parades and shows! Similar to Disneyland and Disney Sea, Sanrio Puroland has scheduled performances, such as the Kawaii Kabuki show or Memory Boys musical. Some are daily, while others are for special occasions. Check their website to plan your visit accordingly.
Celebrate Special Occasions
If it's your birthday or anniversary, head to the information counter on the third floor for surprises! They have special treats for you.
Save Time with Fastpass
Consider purchasing a 'Fastpass' for JPY500 to skip the lines for rides and attractions. However, on weekdays, the lines are usually short, except for the Sanrio Character Boat Ride. So, you might not need it unless you're short on time.
