About Mount Batur - Bali by Best Trip

This active volcano in Bali, Indonesia is located in the middle of two calderas. Mount Batur, which last erupted in 2000, can be reached in an hour and a half from Ubud by car and is a popular climbing spot. It is recommended to do the one-hour hike early in the morning so you can reach the peak in time to see the sunrise. Please note that visibility may be limited during the rainy season between December and March.

Don't forget to explore the crater rim and steaming lava fields of Batur, or take a tour to soak in the hot springs near Lake Batur.
