quite interesting, but I don't know what happened, the queue was incredibly long, it took ±1 hour to get into the lift, even though it was open on weekends

It was quite scary at first but the view from 100m high was pretty amazing. The staffs were so helpful and you can ask them to take your photo with that view.

The staff is very helpful in directing each visitor, and asking them to queue to take pictures according to the number that has been given. Maybe those who are not afraid of heights can try this ride.

Came late at night around 9 pm, still served, hehe. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's really fun even though it's a solo trip, everywhere is assisted by Traveloka, making it easy to travel solo. For those who are afraid of heights, move aside first,,😅 But it's a shame if you don't see the night view..

It's easy. Just show your online ticket to the staff there. They will help you to scan your ticket. Inside the sky box time is limited only 40 second for a group. You have to rush and take as much photo you can get. Overall we stay almost an hour up there at the sky deck. Weather can get really hot so don't forget to bring your cap/hat/sun glasses.

We arrived early, around 9 AM, even though our scheduled time was 10 AM. We did this to avoid the crowds, and when we got there, only two groups, including us, were waiting to enter the Sky Box. To our surprise, we were only given 45 seconds to take pictures, despite being almost the only people there. I was shocked by how rushed the experience was, and because of it, I didn’t manage to get any good photos. It felt unreasonable to be hurried when there was no one else waiting. We had spent over P1,400+ for tickets to three attractions, and we were done in less than an hour! For what we paid, the experience wasn’t worth it at all. You can enjoy the same view from outside the KL Tower or simply admire the building itself without the extra cost. Total waste of money.

We initially planned on purchasing the tickets in person, but upon comparing the prices on Traveloka, we found that they were 20% more affordable. Therefore, we decided to utilize the Traveloka app for our ticket purchase instead.

More about KL Tower

Rising majestically above the bustling cityscape of Kuala Lumpur, the KL Tower is more than just an architectural marvel; it’s a gateway to unparalleled views, unique experiences, and a deep dive into Malaysia's vibrant culture. Here's everything you need to know to make the most of your visit to this iconic structure.

About KL Tower

The Kuala Lumpur Tower, commonly known as KL Tower, stands as one of Malaysia's most prominent landmarks. Officially opened to the public on July 1, 1996, it serves as a telecommunications and broadcasting tower, playing a crucial role in the country's communications infrastructure. Standing at 421 meters, it is the seventh-tallest freestanding tower in the world and the tallest in Southeast Asia. The tower's design is inspired by Islamic architecture, reflecting the country’s rich cultural heritage.

KL Tower Opening Hours

The KL Tower welcomes visitors every day of the week, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The best time to visit KL Tower is during the late afternoon, allowing you to witness the city transition from day to night. Arriving around 5:00 PM gives you ample time to explore the various attractions before watching the sunset from the Sky Deck or Sky Box. As night falls, the city lights up, offering a mesmerizing view of Kuala Lumpur’s illuminated skyline.

What is Special About KL Tower?

What sets KL Tower apart from other skyscrapers and observation decks is its combination of historical significance, architectural beauty, and the variety of attractions it offers. Unlike many towers, KL Tower’s construction involved minimal deforestation, with the surrounding Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve remaining largely intact, making it one of the only towers in the world located within a forest.

Things to Do at KL Tower

A visit to KL Tower is a multifaceted experience. Here are some of the highlights:

1. Sky Deck

Perched at 300 meters above ground, the Sky Deck provides an open-air viewing experience like no other. It offers 360-degree panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur, including iconic landmarks such as the Petronas Twin Towers. The Sky Deck is a perfect spot for photographers and those looking to soak in the cityscape.

2. Sky Box

For the brave-hearted, the Sky Box is a must-visit. Extending out from the Sky Deck, this glass box allows visitors to step out and look directly down at the city below, creating a thrilling and memorable experience. The sensation of walking on air is both exhilarating and terrifying, making it a favorite for adrenaline junkies.

3. Tower Walk 100

The Tower Walk 100 is an exciting activity that lets visitors walk around the outer ledge of the tower at 100 meters above ground. Secured with safety harnesses, participants can enjoy a heart-pounding stroll with incredible views, making it a unique way to experience the tower.

4. Observation Deck

Located at 276 meters above the ground, the Observation Deck is an enclosed viewing area offering a more relaxed experience. With telescopes and informational displays, it’s ideal for those who prefer a comfortable environment to enjoy the views and learn more about Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.
