Discovered in 794 during the Silla Kingdom, Bongeunsa Temple is a historical Buddhist worship place. More than just a temple, this site offers a sanctuary to rest from the city where tourists can try Korean Zen meditation, Dado tea ceremony, or taste Balwoogongyang (a Buddhist meal). This area is filled with lantern ornaments to celebrate Buddha's birthday in May, during the Lotus Lantern Festival.
