Special Region of Yogyakarta

Mistakenly referred to by tourists as Imogiri Forest, this pinewood area is actually located in Mangunan. The Mangunan Pine Forest has thousands of pine, acacia, and mahogany trees, as well as several tree houses, lookout points, and an open auditorium made of wood. It's also the site of the Bengkung spring, where Sultan Agung of the Mataram Sultanate was believed to meditate.
