Now it’s time to explore and travel in Thailand. No need to face the crowd or travellers – especially in Phuket, the southern city of Thailand which is always at the top of world’s destinations. No crowd, no tourists, have fun and travel all you want without worries or even making plans. So, pack your bags, find some hotels and book a cheap flight to Phuket!

As soon as the plane has landed on the runway, we can easily walk into the car that we have already booked beforehand. Because we want the trip to be easy and comfortable as ever, we chose to book a limo/taxi from Phuket airport with Traveloka. First, we thought the rate would be high, but after checking the price carefully, it’s cheaper than we have expected – if we travel with friends or companions, it will be cheaper per person! No more carrying your heavy belongings everywhere, just book a limousine, sit tight and you can go directly into the town without any problem.

An army marches on its stomach, so now we will find something to eat and fuel our energy for the next activity! Get a full meal at Piset Restaurant, with a signature of a big and refreshing cup of Iced Thai Tea. You can order your dish individually and get some hot pot to share with your friends – do not forget to try mangosteen salad as well. Be ready because the next activity is going to drain your energy.

During the Phuket trip, we first rush up our adrenaline with this adventurous activity. It is located in the middle of the forest – so forget the beach and the ocean for now. We want something exciting and fun so we book the package of Zipline ‘Flying Hanuman’ to forget the boring life in a city and being stuck in a room for days. We book the biggest package with 42 points (about 2,000-ish thb). It comes with food, beverages, fruits, insurance and pickup and drop-off service. We had fun for more than 2 hours. Not only the excitement that we have faced, but a beautiful scenery of the green forest and blue sky of Phuket are something we will not forget.

From Flying Hanuman, it takes only 15 minutes travelling to The River Coffee café. You will find a peaceful environment, surrounded by trees and rivers. Sip a cup of good coffee and take a bite of delicious cakes available for you at this café. The best table to sit in this café is in the middle of the river! Relax while swinging your feet in the cold water. This place might make you think that you’re in Chiang Mai but it’s actually located in Phuket! Do not miss this place.

Now back to Phuket city, but we are still finding something to fill up our stomach. We heard that there’s a famous local ice-cream place in this town. It’s called ‘Samkong Ice Cream’ with a taste that reminds us of when we were a kid. The dish decoration is not that fancy, but the taste of ice-cream will guarantee why it has been very popular among the locals and tourists. From normal flavours like coconut, coffee and chocolate to egg and seven-up flavours. Pour some of your favourite Thai toppings like nuts, millets or jellies. The ice cream shop serves fried ice cream as well!

Now the sun is setting. You might already know that the famous place to view the sunset is at Laem Phromthep, but if you’re already bored with it and want new experiences, go to Khao Rang Viewpoint instead. It’s another good place to watch the sun set with a landscape of Phuket city. It's just a hill that you can easily drive up there. It is a park with a viewpoint on the top. Get a clear view of vanilla sky and the beauty of city lights– another romantic place that you should visit.

After visiting the hidden gem of Phuket, you don’t need to go anywhere to find some good dinner place because it is already located here at Khao Rang Viewpoint. For more than 40 years, TunkkaCafe has been established. Eventhough it’s called itself a café, but it serves authentic and real good food here. So have a tasty meal with spectacle view of 360 degree of Phuket.

Of course, you cannot miss the ocean and the beach when you are here in Phuket. But as the title says, we want to travel without planning the trip, that’s why we chose a one-day trip tour for Surin Islands from Traveloka! Apart from booking cheap flight, it has a service for you to book the tour as well! Not only does the tour provide a speed boat to travel from island to island and diving to see the beauty under the sea, this trip will take us to see the local life at Morgan village. Of course, they also provide food, fruits and unlimited beverages. The trip starts at Phang Nga province, but the tour takes care of you with the pick up and drop off service from Phuket. It may take you an early morning day and a bit of budget but you can go travelling outside of Phuket easily – it really is the best offer!

If you have time on Sunday evening, you can go take a walk in Phuket walking street. Many local street food vendors will be there in the market. Both food and desserts are available, walking and eating while shopping for souvenirs. So, remember the date because it’s only open on Sunday evening!

Another dish that you should not miss when you arrive here in Phuket is dim sum. This Chinese food is now becoming one of the local foods in Phuket. Have some fresh and hot dim sum in the morning as breakfast to start your day! There are actually a lot of dim sum shops for you to choose from, but if you have no clue where to go, you can visit Boonrat dim sum – with altogether 3 branches. They provide lots of dishes such as dim sum, bak kut teh and congee. But as we told you that locals usually have dim sum as breakfast so the place is open from 6.00 – 10.00 only.

Another secret sport that is not far from the city but many of you might have never heard of – Koh Lon or Lon island is located 15 minutes from Chalong Bay Pier. The virgin island that we cannot believe it’s in Phuket! There are only about 30 families on this island and there are many activities for you to do (on land). You can try dyeing the clothes with Batik technique or floating on the boat and go fishing and finish the trip with a delicious authentic local meal. You need to contact the place and book beforehand; it could be a one-day trip or choose to stay for a night. Get new experiences and try to live with a local.

If you choose to go back to Bangkok with a late evening flight, we recommend you to have the best meal with buffet seafood – with under 400 THB budget! There are different seafood such as crabs, shrimps, mussels and many more types of fish. You can order them to be grilled or just order in the menu – what makes it the best is that there’s no time limit! Cheap with fresh seafood – can’t miss! Remember the place ‘Osaka Buffet’

Phuket is still the pearl of Andaman sea, you might remember Phuket with popular places and crowded tourists, but there’s many more secret and hidden spots for you to explore.
