Myanmar is a country in Southeast Asia famous for its diverse history, culture, and traditions. Even though times are modern, Myanmar still maintains its cultural and historical heritage to coexist harmoniously.

Apart from that, Myanmar also has a lot of natural beauty that is second to none. Where can you go on vacation to Myanmar, and what can you do there? Generally, tourists who come here will visit big cities, which are the main destinations.

One of them, Yangon, is known as Myanmar's capital and largest city. As the center of the country's economy and government, Yangon has earned the nickname "the Golden Land." If you are interested in visiting this country, here is a Myanmar itinerary for ten days.

Day 1: Yangon

From Yangon International Airport, you can use the Omni Bus, taxi, or airport pickup facilities. It takes about an hour to get from the airport to downtown Yangon. Getting around these cities can be done on foot or by renting a bicycle, e-bike, tuktuk, or taxi. If you are on vacation with some friends, renting a vehicle can be a more convenient option.

Most taxis don't use meters, so you have to be smart about bidding. Likewise, with the tuktuk, bargain from the price offered. Don't worry, the drivers can speak English quite well.

Because of its central location, the Shwedagon Pagoda has become a landmark in Yangon.

The second destination is Sule Pagoda, which is located at the junction of Sule Pagoda Road and Maha Bandoola Road and is visible from all corners of the city. This pagoda is famous for having an octagonal stupa shape surrounded by four pyatthat or Burmese terraced roof structures. The Sule Pagoda is especially stunning at night when illuminated by warm light.

Tips: This pagoda is still used as a place of worship today, so if you want to visit here, it is suggested that you wear polite clothes and not disturb people who are worshipping.
