Choose between Basic, Value, Comfort and Deluxe

Etihad's economy comparison for tickets issued from 18 June 2026, excluding GuestSeats, lists four fare families. Basic does not allow changes or cancellation and has no included checked baggage. Value permits changes for a fee but does not permit cancellation.

Comfort permits changes and cancellation for a fee. Deluxe lists changes and cancellation without a fee. A waiver of the change fee does not establish that a more expensive replacement flight is included without a fare difference.

Basic and Value charge for advance seat selection. Comfort includes a standard seat, while the newer Deluxe table includes a Preferred seat, subject to availability. Do not count that Preferred-seat inclusion as an extra-legroom seat entitlement. Food and drinks are included across the four economy families in the comparison.

Compare the ticket and baggage as one buying decision

For weight-based journeys, the economy table lists Value with 25 kg checked baggage, Comfort with 30 kg and Deluxe with 40 kg. Basic requires a checked-baggage purchase. All four list one 7 kg cabin bag, separately from the checked inclusion.

For a 30 kg checked load, Value needs another 5 kg, while Comfort already covers the load within 30 kg. Compare Value's ticket plus that baggage addition with Comfort's ticket, included standard seat and paid-cancellation option. Deluxe includes the same load within 40 kg and different flexibility. Extra baggage does not turn a Basic or Value ticket into a cancellable fare.

The table for journeys to or from the USA and Canada uses pieces instead: Value, Comfort and Deluxe each list two checked bags up to 23 kg each, while Basic still requires payment. Do not treat that allowance as one 46 kg bag. Additional checked pieces must stay within the airline's 32 kg per-piece maximum.

Add baggage early without confusing it with a ticket change

Etihad explicitly permits passengers who booked through a travel agent to buy extra baggage using Manage my trip. The actual retrieval form accepts an airline booking reference or ticket number plus last name. Keep these airline identifiers separate from your Traveloka Booking ID.

Its advance baggage discount window runs until four hours before departure for weight-based baggage and 30 hours before departure for piece-based bookings. The airline advertises savings of up to 65% through its online or call-centre purchase channels; that is a maximum advertised saving, rather than a guaranteed discount on every booking.

The baggage FAQ describes prepaid baggage as generally non-refundable unless the airline cancels or changes the flight. Buying a larger allowance and later taking less luggage does not by itself establish refund eligibility. Basic also does not receive the free checked-baggage benefit associated with Etihad Guest tier status under the published Basic FAQ.

Use Traveloka for changes to a Traveloka-issued ticket

Etihad's management FAQ directs passengers who booked through a travel agent to that agent for ticket changes. Access to the airline's booking view or baggage purchase does not establish that the airline account can reissue an agency ticket.

For a Traveloka purchase, use the booking's available Reschedule or Refund service, or Traveloka support. Keep the booking reference, airline ticket number, request record and any revised e-ticket. Where multiple fares have been combined, Etihad says the most restrictive fare rule applies.

To resend the Traveloka e-ticket, use its flight booking retrieval page. The form uses Booking ID, departure date and the mobile number supplied with the original booking. This resend process is separate from airline check-in.

Check in from 30 hours before departure

Etihad's current check-in page makes online check-in available 30 hours before the flight. Its actual form uses booking reference or ticket number and last name. A partner-operated flight or a special-assistance request can prevent online check-in, in which case the airline directs passengers to its airport desks.

Completing online check-in does not always produce a downloadable boarding pass. Etihad identifies airport acceptance of digital passes and required document checks among the reasons to collect it at the counter. A resent e-ticket is not a boarding pass.

Passengers with checked baggage still need airport bag drop after online check-in. Leave time for baggage, document checks, security and boarding, and follow the departure airport's check-in and gate instructions.
