Facilities were all good, but the food and service were both very mediocre. Tourism on the island is still very much developing.

Nice hotel with great staff. The main beach restaurant was closed as they had a private party which was a disappointment as we wanted to book for a birthday dinner.

The staff helped us out so much! Fabulous.

Fantastic hotel with very clean rooms, facilities, and grounds. Service was exceptional and I will be staying here again next time I'm on the island!

when I arrived there was no welcome. no one takes your bags, they don't give you information, they are very very disorganized, the restaurants in the structure are a disaster, the staff doesn't pay attention to anything. you wait for everything for a very long time. I left the structure and the island two days before and I was very pissed off. it's expensive and I don't recommend it to anyone

Hotel was okay, perhaps a 5 star resort but possibly not a 5 star hotel

This is not a 5 star. It’s a 4 star at best on a good day. The food is mediocre. It only has 1 buffet restaurant (I got sick one night after eating there and I never get sick). The other restaurant the Bounty has better food than the buffet, however it doesn’t matter what you order it all pretty much taste the same and plated with the same garnish. The grilled food is loaded with butter from a tin that is used for seafood, meats and crustaceans. If you have a food allergy …. I wouldn’t eat there. I expect the same goes for the buffet The 5 star service a 5 star traveler expect is non existent. The property is only 7 years old and it looks like it’s about 20 years old. You will receive nothing that makes you believe you are at a 5 star property. You will not have robes and slippers in your room. Your minibar will have 2 bottles of water. You will receive no welcome gifts or even a bellboy to offer to bring your luggage to your room. Or an offer to bring your luggage from the room. After spending 1 night in an unconditioned room, I expected some sort of complimentary item from the hotel. I don’t even think that crossed their minds. You are probably better off going with a 3 or 4 star compared for the price. It’s absolutely not worth the stay.

Everything you could wish for in a beach holiday to relax with in warm and sunny climate. Clean, sandy beaches. Beautiful hotel pool. Excellent food and staff service.

Amazing staff at reception, pool side and restaurants. All so hardworking and friendly! Very clean and modern rooms! Rooms cleaned daily! Lifeguards on site all day! Private beach part with sun loungers! 10 mins walk into main Santa Maria town from the beach! Wheelchair provided if needed. Only downside lack of entertainment.

Wanted a comfortable clean modern hotel within walking distance of the town and right next to the beach - that’s exactly what we got! Great location, perfect for those who don’t want one of the all-inclusive hotels and want the buzz of Santa Maria close by - a 15 min stroll along the beach path, no need for a taxi. Great facilities, great pool, and an ideal spot on the beach. On top of that, one of its greatest assets is the bounty beach bar/restaurant in front on the beach itself. Room + bathroom was clean, spacious and tidied every day, bed was comfortable and our courtyard facing room was peaceful quiet all night. Breakfast buffet had great choice. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

si je devrais donner une note c'est sans aucune hésitation un 10/10. Tout s'est tellement bien passé pour nous, en famille avec 2 enfants vue en front de mer, le matin avec un bon café au balcon avec une superbe vue face a la mer. Aussi je voudrais donner une mention spéciale a tout le personnel de l'hôtel HILTON de SAL . Ils ont tous étaient au petit soin avec nous. 10/10 à M.Chris responsable de l'hôtel qui a fait en sortes que notre séjour se déroule a la perfection. 10/10 au restaurant BOUNTY a M.Arnand et son équipe (un clin d'œil a M.Derick). 10/10 a M.Sidy de la piscine. vraiment 10/10 a tout le monde, toujours avec un sourire Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir .

Staff were professional and extremely helpful. Both at reception and the restaurants. The cleaners unfortunately spoke Portuguese, so put my requests in at the front desk. Excellent choice at breakfast. Buffet in the evenings also had a great choice. As soon as food ran out, it was quickly replaced, both breakfast and dinner. On 2 occasions, the lifts stopped working, but was quickly fixed. Great location, 3 mins to the beach and 15 mins walk into town. Decaf coffee in rooms, but ask and regular coffee is provided. Lovely hotel, slept very well. Had a really relaxing holiday. Would stay again at the Hilton.
