The personalized service from the hotel staff is amazing. This in my view is the key selling point for this hotel. Great for quite getaways and private beach beach rendezvous. The only price is the road to the hotel which needs some renovation; once you get there you will forget about that though.
I am an American Ph.D. student in Ghana for six months to complete my field research. I booked The Beach House for my husband and I as he came to visit me from Washington, D.C. for two weeks for the Christmas Season. We had such a wonderful time at The Beach House. We stayed at The Beach House for six days. It is nestled right on the beach within a small fishing village called Ankwanda. If you like places that are unique, fun, relaxing and don't mind being off the beaten path then this place is for you. Steven, the manager and his staff are very attentive. My husband and I had a very personalized experience from beginning to end. We visited Cape Coast and Elmina Castles which are both within 25 minutes of The Beach House. We also went to Kakum National Park and did the Canopy Walk, so much fun! Steven even arranged a guided tour for us for the Elmina Fish market and we were able to go out on a boat and sail through the bay. The food cooked by Sammie at The Beach House was amazing!!! My husband and I loved the Tilapia and had it almost every night! I would highly recommend anyone to stay at The Beach House. Just keep in mind it is nice but very basic rooms with hot water, Wifi, and AC. You can walk right onto the beach and the views are beautiful!!! We definitely plan to stay here again when in Ghana and recommend to others as well.
I liked the Beach House so much, I extended my stay by two days! I swam in the warm waters of the Atlantic at the nice clean and safe beach immediately in front of the property, took a short drive to Elmina Castle, a bit longer drive to Cape Coast Castle, and a day trip to Kakum National Forest. Always returning to a nice clean bed in a clean comfortable air-conditioned room.
The location is amazing. It's a slice of paradise and with the upgrades underway, I have no doubt the Beach House will be the go-to destination in the region in the years to come for folks that know. I just hope it doesn't get too busy, I want a room available whenever I return to Ghana.
