Hawksbill Resort Antigua

We really enjoyed our whole stay here. The view is beautiful. Most importantly they have a grouo if amazing staff, each and everyone were so friendly and welcoming. Our room gets cleaned daily. Just some key notes is to keep the water bottle thats in your room to fill up at the water diapenser and room towels were not changed daily. Overall we had an amazing experience.

Hawksbill is a nice quiet resort. Beautiful beaches. There are 4. Nicely maintained. Beaches and main dining are all walkable. We'll light. Food was very good a a nice selection. Would return.

It's a nice location. The staff were great. The bedroom and bathroom was basic, and our basin plug didn't work.

Let me tell you about Hawksbill Resort.. The views, ocean, and atmosphere is mostly beautiful and relaxing. It is quiet and a calm, peaceful beach getaway when the water is not rough. The pool is wonderful and for us it was easy to find great seating wherever we wanted to be. The staff could not be less attentive or more rude. Even if you approach with kindness you are met with sarcasm, attitude, and minimal willingness to resolve any issue. I had to speak with them 3 times about taking the airport transfer off my bill because they never showed up (we took a taxi) and to set up the new taxi for departure. Then was laughed at as if I didn’t have the conversation with them. Water is scarce as the two refillable containers are never full and one of the water receptacles sits in the sun. They do not give you more than one water bottle that you are expected to refill. The food is 5/10 like edible- nothing inspiring or interesting- mostly very bland. Service was non existent. Room service was great but they run out of towels. I could go on with shocking stories about the lack of attention and care. There are some diamonds in the rough you should try and seek out, but good luck. We dreaded having to talk to anyone there because they were so condescending and rude. The grounds are beautiful and great views and set up. Loved the outdoor-ish shower.

It was an amazing place! The only thing was people saving beach chairs got annoying, but I don’t know what can be done about that.

Love the serenity the beautiful sunset and the beaches. The staff were amazing and the food was good as well. The bungalow was clean spacious and comfortable just a few steps from the beach:

We were looking for a quiet peaceful stay by the sea and Hawksbill delivered. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The staff are lovely and warm. It is exactly as described - lowkey and not a party resort. We kayaked, snorkeled swam and ate very well but most of all we enjoyed relaxing by the gorgeous sea. Thank you, Hawksbill!

The staff was absolutely the best!!! Kind, Fun and Friendly they made the place.... Food was good. My only issue was the alcohol if you wanted top shelf alcohol you had to pay extra, which i was not told that when i emailed. They did deliver a bottle of gray goose to the room for that misunderstanding which did make up for that issue...

Amazing low key atmosphere. Beautiful beaches. Not a party place.

The location was very beautiful and our cottage was right in front of the beach. The food was very good with lots of choices and the staff is top notch. What we didn't like due to my wife's knee problems was the long trek uphill and stairs to reach the main dining area for breakfast and dinner compulsory and occasionally for lunch when we got tired of the snack food at the closer by snack area. It was quite difficult going into or getting out of the water because the sand sinks and there is a steep drop. Some guests also reported of sand flees though we never sat out on the sand.

My husband and I just returned from a week stay at Hawksbill and overall it was very good! First off scenery wise I'm not sure how it can get much better, it is a stunning location and the swimming beach by seagrapes restaurant was excellent. It is very quiet and a relaxing place with not a lot of people so it makes finding a beach chair or spot at the pool easy. The pool by the way was also great and you can see Montserrat pretty clearly from there which was awesome. The service overall was good, but I will say the bar staff down at seagrapes were on it! They were excellent and very friendly! The staff up at the main restaurant were good, but there were quite a few occasions where we were sat and then not returned back to until we were basically done eating. Not sure if it was a staffing issue or what so my wife and I always brought our own drinks to not have to wait. Hawksbill is a spread out resort and there is a ton of walking involved so be prepared to get your steps in. Also I've forgotten a lot of the names but Craig get there Lake was our transportation to and from the airport and he was 10/10 on time and as friendly as they come! Also don't want to bash anyone because this is their livelihood but a guy who sets up excursions who was on the beach had talked us into a catamaran cruise and it was a good time, but the price he mentioned was about $50 off of what he said when we went to pay. All in all wonderful place

Great resort with super friendly staff who really make your holiday. We stayed in a Beachfront bungalow, which was beautiful, had all we needed. Would love to return again.

Beautiful setting! The staff was great with special kudos to waitstaff Bernadette, Gabrielle and Brad. All inclusive food was surprisingly well done, with great creativity!

A hidden gem. If you want to be away from crowds/want a slower, quieter pace, this is it. The beach was lovely- plenty of loungers, & the staff aimed to please. It was the nicest water I've ever swam in-crystal turquoise and clean. Temp was just right, even in Jan. Great 'no kids' aspect. What few teenagers I saw were polite and respectful. Applause for: -constant drink offers all day on the beach (Brad) -landscaping crew raking up debris each morning as the ground is grassy, not sandy, plenty of shade -beautiful scenery, florals, and sunsets -all inclusive nature Opportunities: -bathroom fixtures that support the soap, etc./ window screens were in ill repair allowing lots of bugs, need more hooks/towel bars, and a desk lamp -communication: got a brief welcome chat at check in, but we just got off a long flight and counted on the email we were being sent, however the email asked to complete a check in form and upon doing so, the email disappeared...we would have welcomed a sheet or folder of info including the weekly schedule of meal times, menus, and tips and tricks...along with the entertainment schedule, watersports, yoga schedule, etc. everything was piecemeal and had to be hunted for repeatedly -buffet was repetitive -special lunch restaurant was not special -some tiles and stairs are loose and hazardous -beach towels scarce -pitch dark at night, ill lit *be aware property is swim at your own risk Overall, it was beautiful, serene, and a great value. We will return!

Management (Mario) was superb in a personal crisis, customer service from restaurant staff and room staff was wonderful. The pool was amazing, as was the WiFi. Food choices were great, it has been a lovely holiday. The niggles: reception staff do not smile and could be officious. The fridge in the room was unstocked the whole time. You are given one tiny bottle of water you are expected to refill throughout the holiday, it was only a mouthful and not adequate when you can’t drink tap and there was nothing to drink at night from the fridge. I ended up getting a plastic 2 litre rum bottle and filling that up, so bring your own bottle/canteen. Plus Expedia advertise the holiday as all taxes included, they are not. $10 per room per night is payable as a tourist tax when you arrive. I knew about the tax prior but believed the marketing. The only reason I would give this hotel a bad review is because I don’t want more people to come here. I have stayed in luxury resorts on the island, this beat them all. The pool and view was amazing, and (most of) the staff so friendly. I would not hesitate to book again.
