Old noisy room with mold on ceiling especially in shower. View of bay limited. Dated carpet. Terrible WiFi-did not work half of our stay. Not much for ‘breakfast’. Would have expected a bit more for price paid

It’s a very old building but functional. Staff are like they own it. Personnel and fixated on helping you. Very well done basic breakfast with homemade croissants. Thanks Martina for spoiling me.

We stayed at Flor Austral for 4 days and it was great! Our highlights were the friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and a perfect breakfast to kickstart our days. The location was close by the main road also. Have nothing but positive things to say.

The place was very neat! Great view and very cozy room! The staff were really friendly and held with all of our questions.

Clean and basic. Easy access to downtown area. Rooms are very small. Breakfast was decent.

While the view is nice and the staff were friendly and happy to help, the maintenance was poor. The toilet was broken and would not stop running or didn't work at all and truly needed replacing. There was no hot water, only one electrical outlet in the room, and no amenities like shampoo. There was insufficient lighting in the room. The living room/lobby furniture was very uncomfortable as the springs were shot. I would not recommend this hotel.

This was a small quaint hotel that exuded a psychological comfort. In addition, the employees were very welcoming and friendly. It may lack the bells and whistles of the larger hotels, buy they lack the comfortable sitting room and this hotel's warmth and character.

What a lovely hotel. Reminds of a bed and breakfast vibe.... lovely… different… relaxing

I knew I was going low-end with this property. I wanted to save money on the few days I was in Ushuaia and this place got great reviews, so I thought I would give it a try. The owners are lovely people and are friendly. The property is well maintained, although very basic. The room was tiny, but that was accurately stated. The view is misleading as there is now a new building going up in the middle of the view. There was no safe--that was very disconcerting as I had thousands of dollars in cash and expensive electronics as well as three passports and a bunch of credit cards and documents I really did not like being exposed. There did not seem to be any threat, but it is still disconcerting to go out knowing that everything is exposed. The room was definitely not good for people with any mobility issues as it was two floors down in a tight staircase. I was also not sure about fire safety. I guess the best way out was through the window if anything happened. Another irritant was being informed that no outside food or drinks were permitted on the property. So much for a beer or chips in the middle of the night. They also had the oddest check-in procedure I have ever seen. I had to take a picture of my passport and then set them up in Whatsapp to send the picture. I then had to use their QR code to get rules and price list, etc. At checkout I was charged 9,900 pesos for a bottle of wine that was 2,400. It took the women three times to get this right.

No access for people with limited mobility, complicated for seniors
