Holiday Inn Resort Aruba - Beach Resort & Casino by IHG

First, I would return to this property, but I learned what to avoid. It is in a great area, with lots of shops, casinos and opportunities for activities. The resort itself has lots of amenities. But beware of booking your level. A "superior" room with "resort view" is misleading. You could end up with a view of a dirt parking lot and listening to a neighboring resort's entertainment until 2 am. A "standard" room may afford you a great deacon overlooking the Holiday Inn resort pool and ocean. It is impossible to predict. I did request a room change due to the awful first situation described above, and after 3 days it was resolved satisfactorily. Shoutout to Maria at the front desk for making this possible. But changing rooms does require an 11 am checkout and waiting until 4 pm to check in, somewhat ruining a good portion of the day. Just a heads up. If I return, I will book the most expensive room possible, but it may not insure an acceptable view and room.

Very nice hotel, but showing its age and remember, it’s a Holiday Inn. What the hotel lacks in modern amenities, it makes up in location. It sits directly on one of the best beaches in Aruba.

Staying at this property is like gambling at the slot machines. I read the reviews and was really hoping that my family and I would not get the sea tower, but we did. The sea tower is directly on top of a bar that plays very loud music until 2am making it unbearable to sleep and ruins a vacation. I did not see one family with young children the entire 5 days I was there staying in the sea tower so I guess if you have younger children you will be safe in one of the other towers. I traveled with two older teens and it was miserable for everyone. The hotel was also not accommodating to a change as I imagine most people who stay in the sea tower want to switch but there is not room. I gambled on not getting the sea tower because my teens wanted to be on the beach, but we lost and it ruined our trip. The best I can say is don’t risk it unless you are someone who is out until late at night or can sleep through everything. The holiday inn certainly seems to give preferential treatment to young families so I guess you could probably also stay. The last thing that was pretty awful was check in. Came around 5 after a long day of travel on a Wednesday and was in line almost an hour for check in. It is an obnoxiously long process for each guest, I would say minimum 15 minutes per guest and if people had excursions or other things prebooked it was even longer. The family before us took 30 min to check in. Overall a good area but so many better options to choose from.

The staff was the best of the best. Helpful, accommodating, amd friendly. Property location was great. Couldn't get any better. Will come again.

This was a great place to stay. The restaurants, pools, beaches, and staff were all great. Only issue was our room was facing a nightclub with very loud music going all night. We asked to switch rooms and the staff was very accommodating. No issues beyond that!

From the moment I checked in the staff was more than accommodating until the moment I checked out! The beach staff was my favorite by far, in particular Jeffrey the attendant was kind, helpful, friendly and gave me some great tips while on the island!!!

I could have paid a lot more and not gotten much more for my money. While the place is showing its age in places everything was clean and well maintained.

Location and beach were nice. Property is in major need of an update. Paper cups for drinks subpar. Pools and hot tubs below average. Need more Shadyside options around pool area. Rooms and hallway depressing.

So my stay at Holiday Inn started a bit rocky. I was placed in a room in building 8, the furthest building that overlooked a parking lot and what i later found out was a nightclub. It was nonstop loud music until 3am. The partial ocean view was basically nonexistent. The room was old and the faucets in the bathroom werent working properly. I called and expressed my concerns and was told that there are no availabilities until the day after i left. I explained that i was not comfortable in that room and felt like i was sold the opposite of what is advertised at their resort. Again i was told there were no available rooms, until i asked to speak with a manager who suddenly found an ocean view in building 6 available. I was switched to that room the following day with ease. It was an upgraded, ocean view room that was clean and comfortable and quiet. Despite my initial experience, i would stay there again. The staff their is absolutely the best!! Friendly, engaging and always willing to help. Love the proximity to neighborhood activities and restaurants and of course, the beach!

The Holiday Inn Resort and Casino in Aruba did not disappoint! We even stayed an extra night! The hotel had all the amenities we wanted and the staff/service was phenomenal! The location is perfect, right where all the shops and restaurants are! We can’t wait to come back!

We loved staying at the holiday inn! Very convenient to be able to walk right outside and be on the beach and so many walkable options to eat. Very easy.

We were placed in tower 7 directly beside moomba bar. Music is LOUD and plays until midnight and 2am on weekends. No sleeping at night. I think for 3900.00 we should've been asked about that prior to giving us that room.

We had a great experience with Holiday Inn, only issue was room assignments but they did manage to accommodate us later during our stay. We also had a beach wedding here & that was amazing, met all of our expectations!

It is very crowded and getting a hut is expensive and impossible to get then it is $40 for an umbrella! totally ridiculas

Beach chairs were broken and dirty. Rooms were musty smelling and out dated. Place needs a total renovation. They screwed up excursion appointment. Boat rental was a no show , never heard from hotel. Been to Aruba before. This was by far my worst stay.
