Be aware that there are constructions in the building for a new AC system until end of August 2025 and the noise started sometimes at 7:30/8am! Staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel is unfortunately in such a poor condition: windows can‘t be closed properly, doorknobs are nearly broken, AC/heater didn‘t work (maybe due to the construction), elevator often not working on the 4th floor to go down. Rooms have no soundproof at all, so there‘s a lot of noise from the hall (slamming doors, people talking, music from other rooms) and, if you book the habour view rooms, from the 4-lane road just in front of your window. It‘s a cheap option and a budget hotel and you literally get what you pay for. Rooms are tiny and basic.

Noah and Charinth were the front of desk staff were amazing, kept me feeling well accommodated. Best hotel in sydney!

Cleanliness & location great, but very run down & noisy repairs (allegedly) being done;

Booked the King plus single room with harbour view and was initially given a keycard for room 101, which was completely the wrong room yet still charged for the room I had booked. After going back to reception and inquiring about this he apologised and was given a new card for room 510. Much better however the room still did not look as shown in photos and to top it off, the window looked like it hadnt been cleaned in months so couldn't exactly enjoy the view, and bathroom amenities consisted of exactly one bottle of all-in-one soap. I understand this is a budget hotel however for an extra $20-$30 you could get much more for your money elsewhere.

Staff were great, but first room we were assigned was so strong with bleach smell from cleanin it irritated our eyes and breathing. Staff were friendly and happy to move us to another room that was clean but did not smell. Overall, I would definitely stay again

A good location a little outside of the main CBD of Sydney, but lots to offer in the area itself. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, so thank you!

This was a great stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful when we needed anything. The room was nice and clean. Easy location to get to. The hotel just looked like it needed a slight uplift in terms of decor etc but didn’t affect our stay and would really recommend!

I spent 3 weeks in Sydney in different hotels. This one was the cheapest but also one of the most pleasant. Staff was helpful. Lots of good restaurants in Darlinghurst. About 20 minute walk to Hyde Park. Another 15 to the opera house. Look, its budget but I think they make up for it.

Good price for the area. Bed was comfortable. Main letdown was no hot water for both days which I’ve never had before at any accomodation. Let reception know both days but nothing happened and didn’t seem to care. My room was very dirty, every wall had marks and food stains and felt you needed to wear thongs in the shower. Really just needed a thorough clean not just the toilet and make the bed. If those couple of things were rectified it would have been great

Was very hard to find as there wasn’t much signage at the front of the building. Only a single door that led up a set of steep stairs

Excellent location! A few minutes walk from the hotel to the most iconic places in Sydney! Amazing! Really nice staff, safe specially for solo travellers! Clean! I had a great experience! Definitely recommend staying in this Ibis hotel! Affordable nice place to stay in a so expensive city! The only downside for me was how noisy the cleaning staff are! Really annoying waking up 7:00 am with them making loud noises all the time

Perfect location, clean, great staff - would return for my next trip.
