Mantra Southbank Melbourne

We booked a room for 6. Tried to book parking through the hotel to get transferred overseas to someone who had no idea and could barely speak English. Also the room Only had 4 towels, tried calling the contacting the 24 hour reception multiple times to get no answer. Went downstairs to find no one at the 24 hour reception. Had to call the hotel direct to get in contact with them to ask for additional towels to get told we don’t have enough. Also had to request the staff to fix the main tv as they didn’t work. Also stayed on the 2nd floor and could hear a lot of traffic. For the price for 6 people was okay but we wont be staying again.

Great family stay with the pool made even better by the buffet breakfast.

Easy to check in and lovely staff. Fantastic location as well.

The pictures look good and spacious, but indeed the apartment is bit tired and the ceiling is not high. For this price, I expect better quality.

Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant staff lovely. Room was clean but old and dated. Water pressure in the shower was weak and shower over bath was dangerously slippery. Unable to configure the change of water from shower head to bath tap so as to bathe my grandchildren. No book/manual in room with information or instructions. Check in staff were efficient. Location of hotel was excellent for a 5 minute walk to Alexandra Gardens to participate in the Mother's Day Classic. Overall our stay was good.

First of all, I just want to comment on the inaccuracies of the car park rate was not expected, the rate that I have been given from the comms through Expedia and when I arrived are different. However I have to give credits to the staff for letting me checking out later due to an event we are attending. The property itself I believe already showings its age and more of a 3 stars not 4 stars hotel. Room signage is kinda unclear and I should say that the interior cleanliness is so so. Thankfully we did not experience rude staff etc but well they could improve the cleanliness and tidyness of the linen and the room I think. If you can get this with a discounted rate I reckon get it as location wise is quite close to tram and train through Flinders station. Just a warning that this hotel more of a 3 stars not 4 stars as listed here. Don't expect the cleanliness or 4 stars hotel facility. So as long as you don't expect much and just focus on the value and easiness to travel you should be ok.

Staff were so helpful. Room was huge. And on site parking was a bonus

The property was nice, the individual apartment could have used a little bit of care, majority of cutlery was still in the dishwasher, the kettle needs replacing, the bathroom probably needs a reborn tbh, otherwise it was lovely, the bed was comfy, plenty of space.

Highly recommend anyone who is looking to stay in the heart of Melbourne, great location, friendly staff and very clean rooms.

Really enjoyed the location. We were able to get to everything as it was close to Flinders and trams. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was perfect for us .

Large apartment that was clean and had all the thing you need. Unfortunately the road noise was quite loud being next to the main road.

The rooms are quite dated, particularly the bathroom which had stains all over the counter tops (which I dont think matches the $600 a night plus price tag) and it did not have the right amount of cups, plates, glasses, towels, pillows etc for the number of guests it was advertised it could accommodate. So found that we had to contact housekeeping or reception to request what should have already been provided. Had stayed here several years ago - but does not look like any updates have been done since then. We required space for 6 people but I think you could probably do better elsewhere sadly.

Spacious apartments. Bathroom was a letdown, water pressure was low and the shower over bath had a very slippery floor.

Always great friendly staff, clean, convenient and location is perfect, close to restaurant, bars transport and Melb city centre is 10 mins walk. Perfect
