Mercure Hunter Valley Gardens

Nothing, got there 1-15 , room not ready , that’s fine , rubbish in room , not soap in shower , dirty face washer , i stay in Melbourne Mercure it was a much better hotel

Stayed for 4 days after saving up for a much needed work break. First day room never got cleaned so no dry towels. Went to reception and asked that evening twice and the next morning but never supplied dry towels for a shower. The next day they cleaned room and then took a whole bag of groceries worth over $50. Asked at reception said would check and call me. Never did. 3 more times of asking and denied taking. No apologies, no offer of compensation. I finally asked for a free breakfast at least that was finally agreed to. Then at breakfast on last day tried to charge me for it. The manager's attitude was quite dismissive and never once offered any appologies.

We loved the atmosphere and convenience. The breakfast was also a delight. We’ll definitely be back.

I liked that it was close to wineries and restaurants, also the peace and quiet surroundings. I was expecting it to be cleaner. Shower heads and tub was a little rusty. Sofa had old dirt marks. For a relax weekend, getting out of the city was good.

Signage for the hotel entrance could be a bit bigger and noticeable because you can easily miss the turn as it is so close to the roundabout.

Fabulous stay, wonderful facilities, lovely dip in the swimming pool. Gathered here.with a group of friends, perfect location for a wine tour which if course we did. Staff friendly. Will stay again

The reception staff on arrival were less than helpful. We were assigned upstairs rooms (no lifts!) which was no good for one lady. To reach the pool was very inconvenient General cleanliness was lacking. Cudos to Hayley -reception - on our last night. Cleaners were knocking on the door at 9.30 when checkout was 10. Not very professional. Will not be returning!

Good location if you want to be close to the Gardens. A bit weird that some of the rooms open out to the street and there is no fence or security.

Central location in Pokolbin, studio king bed room was very spacious, well appointed and maintained. Room service was great. Staff attentive and responsive.

Understaffed, The food was below par both diner and breakfast. Mg wife and I wanted to return our rooms and perhaps take a bath before bed only to find that the bath was not clean and had hair in it from previous guest extremely unsanitary.

Very quiet and comfortable room.

Excellent location to discover Hunter Valley. Spacious rooms, very clean and plenty of parking space. Excellent facilities including excess to a good gym. Particularly enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Nice location, older hotel. No problems

There was an issue on check in that I had only booked one room when I had booked two. It was seemingly a fault from the last minute website not feeding through to the hotel. The woman at reception was not overly helpful and just kept saying she only had one room booking despite me showing evidence I booked two and my bank transaction showing I had for two rooms. I had to ask if there was a second room, which there was but then I was going to be charged again for the room. The manager stepped in to help and said she would fix it as she could see I had booked and paid for two rooms. After this, everything was good. Lovely food and great service from the restaurant. The room was spacious and comfortable and a lovely pool.

We liked our stayed at hotel. The hotel is situated in Hunter Valley Gardens with lot of wineries at a close by distance. Christmas lights spectacular is at walking distance and enjoyed the walk at night. Overall experience was good.
