Nova Kiama

Good experience from this hotel. Here is my regular visiting place every year.

Everybody was so lovely here, especially Julia at reception. The hotel was clean, comfortable and modern. Only downside I would have to say is for a hotel without room service or a restaurant it would be handy if they had cutlery/playes for people who have to bring their own food to eat if they don’t want to eat out every night. Great location within walking distance to beach, playgrounds and cafes/restaurant/pubs. Blowhole is just up the hill and some great markets/2nd hand clothing markets around. Pool and gym were very clean and a nice relaxing courtyard outside. Would stay here again for sure!

The Nova was in an excellent location near the blowhole end of Kiama. The staff were very welcoming. The rooms are very sparse and rather clinical. A nice print on the wall or a rug would make it more welcoming. The airconditioning vent was situated at the opposite end of the bed so blew on my head all night, so could be better located. However, I did enjoy my stay and the heated pool was a bonus!

Julia at reception was amazing upon our check in, staff always coming across smiling and happy - a real pleasure! Everything was so easy and comfortable with the exception of the room. Was smaller than we expected: The bathroom could've used a few more hangers (behind the door or on the wall to hang towels and a cabinet for the sink would've been really helpful.

Good location and nice staff but it needs a tidy up. A few cockroaches around which wasn't ideal.

The mirror in the room was not attached to anything but just leaning against the wall. This could be dangerous if it slid down across the floor at the foot of the bed. Also the directions to get into the car park were not clear and we had to go back to reception for help. Otherwise a great place to stay!

Clean and fresh, easy location for exploring.

We recently stayed here for two nights in a family room as two adults with a 14-year-old. The rooms are small, but in great condition, not sure if this is a new hotel or there has been a recent renovation. Rooms are tastefully decorated , particularly like the bathroom. Staff were lovely and helpful during check-in and at any interaction. Beds were fairly comfortable. Pool was lovely. Combi coffee van in the foyer was handy as was the fitness room. Central location and easy walk to everything A few negatives - rooms could do with drinking glasses, plates and tissues. Bathroom could do with a toilet brush and a towel rack rather than 2 small hooks if you wish guests to not get fresh towels each day. Issue with our air-conditioning, very inadequate. We had it on a very low temperature setting and a high fan speed and it barely made any difference so we found it quite muggy in our room, and slept poorly the first night. We booked a family room and the pictures online indicated that there was some facilities in the room such as a microwave and a sink however, we do not have any of these facilities in our room. Another thing to mention is that there is not a designated parking spot at the front of the hotel for when you arrive and check in. There is secure parking underneath the hotel however this requires a key card which you can’t get until you check in. There are parking spots out the front, but when we arrived, they were all taken so they proved to be a little bit challenging.

Went to check in and the girl at the counter had her back to me, knowing I was there. It was awkward when she finally turned around after 10 seconds of digging around in her handbag. Otherwis

Good location, near to eateries. Even though the room was clean and well set out , it was a bit small and the bed was like concrete.
