Park View Motel

Self check-in. Needed to use the bbq but told it was out of order and pool area closed at 6pm. Otherwise pleasant and comfortable room

Nice simple motel. Everything is there. Value for price.

Average Motel - large spacious clean rooms. Decor modernised but still slightly dated. It was fairly clean, it is in a good location - central to Gladstone. It is fairly quiet. Just the occasional truck, Harley or V8 could be heard. Why did we stay here: We needed two rooms and our preferred option was booked. Would I stay here again: yes but only if our preferred option was not available.

Okay, firstly the good: the room was nice and parking was plentiful. Comfy bed and good shower/bathroom. But I had a huge problem with arriving at the motel after an 8 hour drive and finding no one there, just a sign telling me to ring a phone number (and having to leave a message because no one answered). I have no issue with contactless check-ins - the stays before and after were both like that, but they also both notified me well in advance and I knew exactly what to expect, unlike this time. It all worked out in the end, but I was quite concerned at the time.

Close to town

Centrally located, good price, clean, quiet, adequate furnishings. No staff onsite for checkin, instruction re: key safe weren’t sent but easily remedied by calling the mobile number on door

Not sure I like having no staff on location, see good and bad. Also need to communicate with wotif, as they offered payment on arrival, which is not the case

Clean and comfy beds

The room is a great size, bed is comfortable, air-con is great. Bathroom is well appointed with great water pressure in the shower. Room is also very quiet, even with the window open, you won't hear much noise from outside. Altogether a pleasant place to stay.

Thetr needs to he a better system to book on after hours. I'd driven 6hrs and took me 40 minutes to beable to contact someone so I could get intonthe room. One VERY good thing the shower was amazing. I could have stood under it for hours

Good location, walking distance to dine out.

Arrived to find front desk unstaffed, in contrast to check in instructions in the booking confirmation. I phoned the number on the confirmation and a lady off-site directed me to collect my keys via a lock box. Simple process, but would have been helpful to know the process beforehand. Property is basic but clean. No other cars in car park left me somewhat disconcerted however the following morning a few more had arrived. Toilet had issues with flush not stopping and continual re-pressing of flush required. Very good value for money however; cheapest motel I've paid for in a decade.
