Walpole Rest Point Caravan Park

The unit we had had a great view which was its best feature. It was very small for 6 adults. The only couch only seated 3, and the dining setting 4. It was very hard to do anything in the kitchen because of lack of space. As there was only 1 bathroom, the toilet needed to be separate, which it wasn't.

Lovely location, Kangaroos and parrots everywhere. The accommodation was quite tired and there was a lot of work going on by the cahin

The building that we stayed in should be condemned. This large building, probably built in the 1940s, houses about 6 separate cubits all adjoined. The noise from surrounding guests went easily through the walls and doors and thumping footsteps went through the old timber floor of the whole building. We put up with a small kid crying for hours next door with some “adult “ yelling at him. Then we were woken at 5:30am with the same kid running around with the noise vibrating through our room. We did not want to venture out to enjoy the surroundings and left early in the morning to get out of there. It also felt like the floors had never been swept there. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed at Rest Point Caravan Park in Walpole and had a really pleasant experience. The location right on the riverfront is beautiful and very relaxing. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the kitchen facilities were great—everything we needed for a comfortable stay was available. Overall, a lovely place to unwind and enjoy nature. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Good

Very basic accommodation, old and very dated. The unit we stayed in had a sloping floor and bathroom basin needed replacement. Setting was stunning, however our cabin was very close to jumping pillow and there was construction work going on all day. Overall accomodation was disappointing.

Saw some wildlife in the morning including a large ray and pelicans

Great kitchen with ample utensils, saucepans, crockery, gas stove , electrical appliances. Pleasant view over lake.

View was the best

Staff were great, we stayed in unit 1 and our friends in 2b, The units are very tired and in need of some basic maintenance, in unit 1 we had no cooking facility yet 2b had a full size stove/oven, they also had a nice table with 4 chairs, we had a small, almost camping table with 2 chairs, our bathroom was not pleasant, the miniscule basin was terribly stained and unpleasant, there is nowhere to put your toiletries, no towel rails for hand towel etc, if staff do not want to drill into walls because of asbestos, you could at least put a free standing rail in the bedroom for towels. The shower itself could at least have a decent shower head and taps, there is a broken tile in the recess and the drain hole is rough and could potential cut your feet, the glass sliding door into unit 1 was nearly impossible to slide, we were told the rollers were replaced recently, hmm not so sure about that, however the view of Nornalup inlet is stunning and does somewhat compensate for the unit.

Room is clean Staff is friendly and informative View is fantastic Location location and location 👍👍 I could have given a 5 stars except that we had a very inconsiderate neighbour Early on the evening there was some good times going on next door which we do not mind But when it continues on until 3 in the morning that is not on especially when you are trying to rest and sleep after a very long drive and eventful day At the end we have to ask them to tone it down which they did Will we stay here and recommended this place to family and friends again? YES We took this to be an isolated incident ☺️

The view, the wildlife, the peace and quiet.

Upon checking we noticed several dead flies and a putrid smell, upon walking through the kitchen in had poo smothered on it The floors were covered in mould I would not recommend at all, trying to communicate with staff for a refund is absolutely ridiculous. Save your money and go somewhere else. Have uploaded photos

Beware, when making my booking I selected a room with air conditioning, this is not what I received. The light from the laundry room shines right into the room all night (cabin 1). The water has an awful smell.

When the sun was out and not pouring with rain, the scenery around the inlet was gorgeous…,
