Absolutely wonderful mountain hotel! A little off the beaten path, so you’ll do best with your own car. The location was picturesque, the food and service excellent, and the room was amazing at a great value! Beautiful outdoor hot tub overlooking the mountainside. My only word of caution is the reception desk has limited hours (doesn’t open till 0800) so plan accordingly if you want to check out earlier. Also, breakfast opens at 0730 so there is no coffee available before that time. Very drivable distance to and from Neuschwanstein Castle. I highly recommend it to any traveler looking for a quiet paradise in the Austrian Alps.

This hotel is great!! It's rustic and charming with spectacular views. We had a family room and it's the most spacious room we've stayed in Europe. The room had a wonderful view, nice patio and super comfy beds. We came in summer and are looking forward to coming back in winter and bringing our dog. As a chef, I need to mention the restaurant - it was outstanding and delicious! You can tell there are talented chefs in the kitchen based on how tasty the food is and how well it is plated. Breakfast buffet included standard European fare as well as scrambled eggs and sausage. We look forward to coming back.

Arrived after a very long drive from Black Forest to a Lovely location and very friendly staff. My German is very poor and although the staff didn't speak English all that well they tried very hard as we did with our German. Room had a nice view and was comfortable. We had booked a double bed but found that generally doubles are made up of two single mattresses on to a double base. The only problem was that one mattress was higher than the other. Food in the restaurant was excellent and cooked to order and Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. No fridge available or tea or coffee facilities so to get a drink would mean going to the bar.( I guess because this is a ski resort the use of fridges isn't normally a question during the winter months. Overall a very nice hotel in a great location with Lovely staff.

Nice room with a great view! It’s an older hotel, but the room felt clean. No AC so it was very hot in July! My kids loved the pool! The lady working when we arrived was very nice, but the lady working the next day was very rude!

We stayed here as a family with children and everybody enjoyed this hotel immensely. The family room was very large with two bedrooms a sitting room and a separate dining area. The breakfast was superb and the staff was super friendly. Then there is a pool and sauna/fitness area which is very good too! The direct area is picture perfect with many walks right from the hotel doorstep. I will definitely stay at this place again.

We enjoyed our stay. Typical Austrian hiking/ski hotel. Very friendly staff, close to ski areas and hiking trails, nice pool and spa for relaxing afterwards. We wanted to visit Neuschwanstein just over the border in Germany, and this was a good place to stay to avoid the crowds in other, closer villages. It is an older hotel, so it's a bit "tired" feeling compared to newer places, but it was very comfortable.

The view from our room was amazing! The hotel staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast spread was incredible! We had dinner at the restaurant one night, and both the food and the service were excellent. We were pleased to find a family sauna in addition to the traditional European nude sauna at this hotel, and we made good use of it. The pool is also very nice. Would definitely stay there again!

Very good hotel situated in a beautiful area. We got the room for cheap because we stayed during summer; I'm sure it's more expensive during ski seasons. Very clean, great view, great bathroom, good breakfast. We arrived around midnight without any prior notice, but the hotel prepared a key and some instruction in an envelope at the reception. Nothing more I can ask for.

No stores to buy things so I recommend bring drinks cause they are pricey and snacks. It's a ski town and everything at the cafes are way expensive. Definitely staying here again.

We were only there two nights and unfortunately had a rainy day but we arrived in sunshine and it was so beautiful. It is set in a ski valley so would obviously be a booming place in the winter but very nice in the summer also. It is a great place for families with a pool and a trampoline. The rooms are bigger then your average hotel room with a balcony overlooking the valley. Nice spot for a two day stop over on our way to Italy!
