This hotel was lovely - friendly check in, good size comfortable room, good location, and the main thing I noticed was that the bathroom was SO CLEAN! It was literally sparkling. Good choice at breakfast. Really good value for money given the location, cleanliness and good breakfast provided. It was a little bit noisy outside as my room was by the main road, so if this is an issue for you maybe consider requesting a room which isn’t by the main road, however it was fine for me

We have stayed in this hotel before, about 10 years ago, and came back on this trip and are glad we did. It's conveniently located, the employees at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was wonderful.

Great location next to a market for food and drinks, also plenty of restaurants and bars within very close walking distance.
Nice sized room. Friendly staff who speak English to help with any questions.
Nice breakfast.
The only thing that was annoying (as I am a light sleeper) is that you can hear and feel the rumbles of underground trains passing under or very close to the hotel which woke me up at about 05.30 both mornings.

The staff was very kind and caring. The lobby and room were spacious and clean. The area is perfect, quite, close to the center and metro station. The breakfast is very good. The only disadvantages we encountered were the lack of small fridge and tea pot.

First the good - this is an older style hotel. It has a certain charm but it’s pretty basic. The breakfast is varied & excellent & the location in the middle of the Night Market is excellent. The bed was comfortable. We had asked for a double but were given two singles pushed together with a big gap in between the mattresses. Not ideal.
I imagine some of the rooms are large & airy. However we were put in the attic on the 5th floor so space was very limited & awkward due to the sloping roof. This was a bit disappointing as we were staying for 3 nights. The lift only goes as far as floor 4 so if you have mobility issue, floor 5 will not suit you.
The water pressure in our room (503) was so low it was almost impossible to have a shower.
There is no kettle so if you want tea or coffee in the evening you have to ask reception staff to make it for you. This seems quite common in Vienna.
Overall we had a good stay - but my advice would be to avoid floor 5.

Location was not far from old town and metro system but still a good walk. Lots of nearby restaurants. Room was clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. I would stay there again.Good value for the money.

Great clean and efficient hotel in a great location
Walking distance to the Opera House and the major shopping restaurant district.
Milos at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

The Hotel 3 Kronen is located right beside the Naschtmarket with a great variety of places to eat at reasonable prices. It was also within walking distance of the Ringstrasse making many of Vienna's most famous attractions accessible on foot. Good links throughout the city by bus, tram and subway too if you want to go further afield.
The breakfast buffet was great with lovely fresh bread and a wide variety of food, including bacon and scrambled eggs, so not just the usual continental breakfast. You could even celebrate with a glass of sparkling wine!
The staff were helpful and friendly.
There was only one downside to the visit, the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room or a small fridge. This would have made the stay even better.

Good location but very noisy because of markets and restaurants. No air conditioning and it got really hot at night. Luckily fans were available in the reception or it would have been very difficult to sleep.

The location of the hotel was great; Vienna is a big city and Drei Kronen was close to the heart of it. The room we were in was top floor but elevator doesn't go that high. Room was small, too small for 2 adults and 1 infant, we were tripping over each other. Nice skylight window in ceiling, great views when you open it and look out over the Naschmarkt. Good thing skylight was there; ceiling was sloped in and made half the room too small to stand in. Fixtures in the room could have used some polish and maintenance. Breakfast was included and was delicious and plentiful!
