Steigenberger Hotel & Spa Krems

Lovely hotel with very pretty views of the vineyards. Our room was very large and quiet with comfortable beds.

Very nice hotel, modern rooms, street parking right in front (they also had a garage, I never used it) balcony had views of terraced vineyards and over Krems, plentiful breakfast buffet, nice bar/lounge area, helpful staff, just tops! I didn't use any of the spa services or sauna/pool, but other guests looked happy coming from there! A few good restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk downhill if you don't want to drive. Was there in January; I'm sure it's even lovlier in summer.

Every thing was exceptional and will stay here again.

Lovely hotel and spa, stayed here for 2 nights. Great breakfast! Didn't have tea and coffee facilities in the room and didn't have air con so the room was quite warm

The Hotel was great for comfort and the Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent!

My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer and take advantage of all the amenities. This place is gorgeous and I plan to return.

No a.c.at 4 star hotel. Spa area is bery far from main building.

Great location, friendly staff, clean, very nice breakfast. New room are very modern, older part looks tired.

Was nice, comfortable. No air conditioning. Was warm in the room but they did have a fan which helped.

When arriving we found out there is old wing and new wing. We needed to pay more money for moving to the new part of the hotel. The hotel is very good. The spa is nice. The service is good. Rooms in new wing are excellent

It’s in the middle of renounced Wachau winery with a good view. There are nice restaurants near around the hotel also hotel itself has got a very good kitchen. Breakfast is super with excellent service. Pool and spa are also great

Unfortunately the spa was closed for nassage treatments because the *only* masseuse they have was positive for COVID apparantly. They did make an effort and arranged another masseuse but massages were rare, limited to 25 minutes, and not very pleasent. Not what you'd expext when comibg to a place that has the word SPA in its name. Other than that- some of the staff did not speak any english. Some had serious attitude issues, especially the ones in the dining room / restaurant, which was aweful by itself. Breakfast served rotten vegetables and spoiled cheese. The guy incharge of the bikes for rent and the house keeping staff were really nice though!

I'm not the type to be negative or complain but I had to say something about this place. The lack of consideration they take regarding hygiene during COVID-19 is despicable - putting others at risk just to be open is unacceptable. On top of this, their front desk was not supportive of my concerns at all. I wish there was better law enforcement around this. Hospitality industry opening during this time need to take the proper precautions to support their guests stay, not increase their risk. They do not take the proper precautions when cleaning rooms during this time, or I suspect outside of the pandemic. The room may appear neat and tidy but counters, basins, windows, door handles are all filthy and not wiped down - in the sense they have residue marks, oily finger/hand prints everywhere, these are very visible marks - not a pedantic viewpoint, but made the entire stay very uncomfortable. Their customer service is dismissive on BOTH occasions I had complained - simply interrupts me and says they will deal with it. They simply sent someone up to 'tidy' the room - no education around what precautions they should be following. They removed €40 of my bill €450+(2 nights) for the 'inconvenience'. Joke. Disappointment around the hygiene and their attitude aside - this is not a nice hotel - nothing special, photos misleading, everything is incredibly average for this place, especially the food. Do not have a romantic or social stay here - 100 better places to stay. Avoid.

Nice spa, nice rooms in the new part, good breakfast Dinner was a disaster - reception booked a place in the restaurant for 8 pm but at 8.40 pm there was still not table available. We were seated at part for groups then. Bouillabaisse was not Bouillabaisse but more sweet-water fish broth - asiatic style, I thought that in Austria everybody knows how to prepare schnitzel but I was wrong. 2 days not filled shower gel in the room - after reception intervention corrected. I would expect for 4+ star hotel a little bit more...

Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig gelegen. Das Personal aufmerksam und freundlich. Tolle Lage. Super Frühstück, für jeden etwas dabei. Schöner Wellnessbereich.
