Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lords Castle All Inclusive Resort

Must Read: The property is new and the rooms are very nice however, the property has 3 restaurants of which 2 share more or less the same menu and the 3rd you may have to book dinner reservations weeks in advance to dine. We arrived on a Sunday and that 3rd restaurant was book until Thursday [for dinner] which was our departure date. Considering there are only 3 dine-in options this was very disappointing. The staff is very friendly but service was poor considering the wait time to be tended to and this translates to waiting on your food order to reach. On average we waited 40 mins to be served our order even if it was a portion of fries. Our room was ill equipped on our arrival, no bedroom slippers, hair drier, clothes iron and trash bags in the bins. All of which was requested and delivered after check-in. The trash bags were put in placed during room service later that day. All in all this being a 5 star hotel, it boasts the facilities of such but lacks the diversity in food options, ready to assist and ever present staff (on many occasions you have to look for staff to get a seat at the restaurant or even to check out because they are not at the front desk…etc) attitude. Overall opinion 4 star hotel and 3 star experience.

The property was beautiful and the service was great. The food was mediocre, especially the breakfast buffet. The best place to eat was the Grill and the beef patties by the pool. We had an ocean front room in building 5. Our room was perfect, but we never had a hot shower our entire stay. That was unfortunate. We will definitely visit Barbados again, but we will not be staying here again.

Staff was very sweet and patient. They took care of my mom and I very well while we were out there. I will say they need to work a little better on the house cleaning clean up in the rooms.

The property was quiet interesting to apart as how the overall look of it and the rokm was wonderful. Up checking in took a long time to do even though we arrrive by 4pm. When ordering room service at night the 2 cheese burgers were raw. Yes raw but burnt on the outside. Aslo the room never got cleaners. We were gone for the whole day and still room was not cleaned. had to call the front dest at night for fresh towels so we can shower.

Some of the staff was great and really did their best. The others couldn't be bothered. Check in was awful and took over an hour. When we finally got to our room, the luggage still hadn't arrived. I finally went down to get it myself. The main problem with the resort is the management. It's like they don't even try to make it a pleasant experience. The food is terrible. Dinner in the Mediterranean Grill was inedible. Their high end restaurant was OK at best. We were only there for 4 nights and we ate off-site for two of those nights at local restaurants, which were very good.

Very nice resort. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and presented nicely. Our room was very clean. It is not really possible to swim in the ocean, but it was nice to sit on the beach and watch the waves. It would be helpful to have a detailed report map in the room, rather than the small one in the registration desk. It would be useful to have brochures about various activities on the island. A great improvement to the resort would be complementary shuttle to/from the airport

Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lords Castle is very well maintained. It is clean everywhere, the flowers, threes, swimming pool, floors, windows, everything is so clean. It is Wonderful to feel like a princess. The service is wonderful. People really care about you. Even the handyman showed me where the gym was. He took the time to show me personally. It is spectacular to see the values integrated to all the employees. The architect who design this hotel deserve a price. It is so airy, WOW ! We have a view from all the sides of the hotel. Even our room have a nice view. All restaurants and pools have been taught for our best confort and pleasure for the eyes. The room are amazing. The bed confortable like a cloud. The shower....I usually don't like shower...this time I made an exeption and I accepted the room like is was. Ho my god, the shower head is the best I have experienced in my life. I will by the same for my home. Thank you very much for the experience. I will come back soon!

Stayed before a cruise for 2 nights, it was good staff very friendly and helpful.

I came to this property for 3 nights after being on a cruise. Driving up to the resort was spectacular! My expectations were high bc it was beautiful/all-inclusive. I arrived at 9pm & they promptly took my luggage, gave me receipts, & showed me to check in. It was a little busy, but not bad. I couldn’t wait to get room service, or eat something. They all seemed unsure, & it took forever! I booked online, had my confirmation, printed itinerary, & passport. She said, “If you’d like to go downstairs & have something to eat, I can finish up, & show you to your room. But let me give you your wristband, & free wifi password”. So I went down one floor to the buffet. I was welcomed warmly & sat down, & they brought ice water. There was a salad bar, tons of sweets: pastries, breads/bagels-tons of carbs. I have Celiac disease, so I didn’t see much I could eat, but kept looking. There was pizza, breaded fish, breaded potatoes, butter chicken, a weird vegetable mix of (warm)carrots, zucchini, & cucumbers. The hot items were lukewarm. NO fresh fruit, no smoothies, & nothing that looked appetizing, Just 1pastry that said “gf”. I asked someone if they had anything else gf, & she didn’t even know what I meant😳 I couldn’t believe it, I went to my room-it was huge/nice, but no towels, or soap to wash my hands. I called about room service & it was $25-obviously not all-inclusive. The other 2 restaurants were booked for the week! There was NO wifi, except near check-i

Room never cleaned without repeated asks. Staircases and hallways never cleaned. Not great dinner options. For a newer hotel it did not feel clean or new.

Where can I begin?? I stay 7 days got housekeeping services once! Had to speak to manager still no service! Hallways elevator and doors smudged and dirty. Called for toilet paper and never got a response back! Looked for a housekeeper on the floor to get one ! We were celebrating our anniversary and it was so stressful! Property is very beautiful so it’s a shame it’s so poorly managed. According to the reviews I saw on this site many people gave 10/10. I feel this is impossible so I conclude that false reviews were accepted which means I will no longer trust this site.
