This was an amazing spot to stay at in San Ignacio. The staff was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and always available. The property felt like a jungle experience, and many cute animals like agoutis and many different birds species made their way through the grounds. The location was in reach of everything San Ignacio has to offer, and the view from the restaurant was great to see. If you are looking for activities to do while visiting, I definitely suggest talking with the staff first. They have many options you can book directly through them that were amazing experiences. If booked through other companies, they are extremely knowledgeable and will be able to guide you to necessary places or fully set up anything you would need such as transportation. They really went above and beyond. Than, you all so much!

West stayed three nights in a stone house Cottage. The room has a large comfortable bed, a desk to write at, and a refrigerator. they keep you well stocked with waters, there's coffee in the room (not tea). All in all our experience at this Lodge was excellent but what makes it stand above and beyond most places is the staff who work there. We had positive interactions with several people especially the pool Guy who got involved bird watching with us even bringing me a book of local bird species, the lobby ladies were amazing...friendly and helpful... just all around we have found belazians to be friendly and welcoming and this place sets a perfect example.

The staff at Falling Leaves is 2nd to none. Paula at the front desk called my tour company to have them pick me up from the hotel both days even though the tour company did not have that as an option. The pool is spectacular in a jungle setting. Genesis in the restaurant offers fantastic service. Meals are simple but delicious. The rooms are very simple and the bathroom small with a pedestal sink. The door goes right to the outside so do know that some creepy crawlies can occasionally make it in. The place is on top of a steep hill right next to the Mayan ruins in town and a 30 min walk from the center of town. I do highly recommend this place.

We had an excellent stay at Falling Leaves. We loved the location on the quiet outskirts of town, but still very close to everything, and right next door to Cahal Pech Archeological Reserve. Paula and the rest of the staff were so warm and welcoming, we felt right at home. Paula was very helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for our tours and had great recommendations. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The grounds had gardens that the staff worked very hard to keep beautiful. We did not use the pool during our stay, but it looked very nice. We were also happy to have a safe place to park our car. The onsite restaurant had very good food, and they were also helpful in accommodating a quick to-go breakfast before an early morning tour. Overall, a wonderful stay, would definitely return!

It was a great little oasis atop a hill (a very steep hill) but a cheap taxi ride from town. The grounds were beautiful and serene. So many different varieties of plants beautifully landscaped. The pool wasn't too inviting. The lounge chairs were few and a couple of them were broken. They were setting up new lounge chairs on our last day there. Maybe we just caught them at a bar time. The staff were very friendly but the restaurant/bar do not serve all day. Between end of breakfast and 4:00pm you can not get refreshments at the hotel. It didn't matter too much because we went on excursions but coming home at 3 and all you want is a drink by the pool. The menu is limited but it'll do for a quick breakfast. Paula the concierge was very friendly and helpful in booking everything for us.

This is a great location, very peaceful. Nice to have a restaurant on site. They were very accommodating given that we had early morning tours. They fed us a tad earlier than they typically open. They were very helpful with everything. The location is uphill from town so we would walk down and take a $5 cab ride back up after dinner. The food at the restaurant was good. Lots of breakfast options.
