A beautiful place w mermaid and buddha statuses next to their own pier and little private beaches that are good for checking out seashell, rocks w small corals. Room is basic wo internet and hot water (somehow internet didn't work in my room), but comfy bed and nice air from the fan and ocean. It feels like a rehab tbh. The room and balcony view is amazing. The food is awesome as well as the beer. It's not hard to find, also close to hiking trails and other bars/restaurants.

The staff are lovely, Christina from housekeeping noticed I was a little sunburnt and brought in some aloe Vera for me without me asking and left it with us until we left, no charge, just thoughtful. Megan on the front desk was attentive and kind and Imre the manager and barman was always on hand if need be. To top it all the resident dogs are gorgeous. There isn’t a lot of hot water for shower’s however we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Laguna Resort. If you are looking to party this is not the place for you, the main beach is about 40 minutes walk but if you decide not to eat at Laguna there are many other places to choose from. Try to get Villa number 1, great sea view, close to bar and restaurant and private beach. Nice place

We enjoyed our stay here for 5 nights. We stayed in the standard studio room and it was super clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. There's no AC but the ceiling fan works just fine for cooling you down! Loved the dogs Tommy & Kenzo, they were so friendly and good protectors from the monkeys - if you've seen reviews saying there aren't any monkeys, trust me they're wrong. We saw them daily! You're basically living right on the jungle here which is also quite cool, we loved looking for lizards and geckos on the nights. The showers are cold but it's that hot in Koh Rong Samloem, having a cold shower is refreshing and needed. Only downside is this place is a good 40-45 minute walk away from where most the restaurants are...but its all pretty much beach so it's still enjoyable. Also, big shout out to the cleaning lady Kata, she's so friendly and welcoming, we loved speaking to her every day!

What can I say, the Samloem Laguna Resort delivered for me! I visited early November just as the rainy season was finishing, allowing the resort staff to prep outside areas for the upcoming season. The Samloem Laguna Resort grows on you, I stayed in one of the jungle huts (no.6) which is set back and elevated from the coastline with sea views. At night it is very peaceful with the sounds of the jungle chattering away in the background, very relaxing... The accomodation was simple but effective which is just what you want when staying in such a very relaxed location. The restaurant offered a set breakfast selection and different daily options for the evening menu. After being out all day on the Island I didn't feel the need to venture elsewhere for dinner, even as a vegetarian there was always something on the menu, the food was presented very well and tasted great, I was happy to compliment the chefs on the food. Easy to feel at home at the Bar even as a solo traveller, all staff were attentive and soon understood your likes and requirements. It's very worthwhile exploring the resorts grounds, there are lots of areas tucked away all offering something different, from the private beach to the pier to the pagoda type area on the water, which is great for breakfast, evening dining or just a coffee.. It was an emotional experience leaving the Laguna, the staff work hard to make your stay fulfilling, I'd happily return to Jungle hut No. 6 again...

Horrible horrible horrible horrible horrendous. The people running this place seems to be criminals. They are the rudest people I have ever encountered in my whole life. Just read other reviews and their response to any negative review to get a glimpse of understanding how bad they are. Unless you want to be insulted and going crazy on your holiday, stay away from this place. The Cambodian state should expel these people from their beautiful country.

The resort is located in a quiet area on the island perfectly blended the middle of the jungle, yet with beautiful sea views of the turquoise blue water. Walking distance from the main beach. Food in general food is really good and the breakfast is great (buffet-style). Rooms cleaned every day. Special thank you to Charlene (waiter) for her kindness and smile every moment. Overall great experience!

Unlike the other Koh Rong Islands that are crowded with mostly young people there to party. This island is peaceful and quiet. It's really a place to get away from the busy world. A time to unwind and relieve stress and refocus on the things that are important. The staff are courteous, and accommodating. The food was outstanding. I had a great time. One word of advice. I had gotten there a bit late, and my water taxi had already left. There were other taxis there that could've easily called the hotel for me to call the taxi back to pick me up. But when I asked one of them, that worked for " The One Hotel ". He lied to me and said that I had to take a two hour walk with my luggage ( actually 25 minutes) and that I was stuck there. He then said that he would take us for $15 . (Actually $10) if you were to hire a private water taxi. So be informed.

Good value. Location a little pit the way but boat available to take you to the beach close by or 30-40min walk. Hotel offer good activities and staff very friendly and accommodating.
