Crowne Plaza YANTAI SEA VIEW, an IHG Hotel

Their AC system is simply bad, after sending someone to clean the filter, which didn’t help, after an hour sweating in the room they have changed me to another room, then to another room… was a bit better, but Temp. Will not go down to 23 C. Besides, this is now an old ruined down place…

good location and comfortable room beautiful sea view out of window (so make sure you book a room with sea view)

Staff and service were great. Just not many dining options for after hours.

The room was clean and tidy, but the window glass was not clean

The hotel itself and staffs are great. The only thing was that I experienced smoking smell around the elevator area at 36 floor. My room was right next to the elevator and the moment I opened the door, the smell all came into my room. The staff had to open the window for me to get rid of the smell.

Hotel is situated in a relatively newly developed area, good neighborhood, with various eatery to choose from. However, hotel definitely requires major renovation in the guess room at least for the room we stayed, it has gorgeous sea view, but carpet is in pretty bad condition, restroom tile, especially near the tub has a major crack, exhausted fan didn't work at all. All staff members were friendly and courteous.

Generally good, the sea view is fantastic.

Its a good hotel, had been here for several times, but this time the air conditioning were not turn on, the room were really warm.

Fabulous hotel - great staff - extremely comfortable room. Only one important detail: the hotel is about 100km away from YNT (and there is a shuttle bus to and from YNT). Hotels.com website says the hotel is only 10kms / WRONG Info!!!

Great, all the staff were really really welcoming and spoke great English. Perfect for a business trip and high quality of service.

TV choice is not so excellent, since the Korean channel is not available.

The rooms are not at all maintained

A very nice hotel, a tall building with great views along the long beach. The room design was impressive with a glass bathroom and bathtub overlooking the ocean. Room service delivered my dinner on time, although the western style food I ordered wasn't quite right, but still enjoyable. I should have ordered local food. The hotel bar had live music, friendly staff and I enjoyed time there with business colleagues. Overall an enjoyable stay in an impressive grand hotel!

Good option in Yantai. Breakfast (included in our room) was offering a lot of good options, but unfortunately the huge room where it is served was freezing cold, as were most common areas. Nothing bad about the room, but the AC which could not be adjusted (it looked like it was set on a very high heat setting, so we had to just shut it down if we did not want to dry up during the night). Upon arrival, the TV was not working but it was promptly fixed.

Nice peaceful location facing an excellent clean beach. Hotel is for great to for business trips. The chinese Resturant in the hotel is particular good! strange thing is the suite only has one waste bin and kind of innovative arrangement inside the suite

I am a frequent traveler to this hotel. The lobby is quite clean and very well staffed, however, of the 8 people at the front desk, only two spoke english. I was surprised since I would guess that 30-40% of the guests are foreign. The front desk attendants are quite friendly but its always quite chaotic, and it tends to make guests feel very anxious. The check in process after getting over the language barrier was quick. The rooms are reasonably clean and nicely decorated, but you can tell that some of the things are starting to show their age (upholstery on chairs, carpet). Most areas are clean, but if you look at detailed areas (between bed and nightstand), baseboards, behind TV etc, you'll find that the amount of dust in these areas has not been addressed in a long time. Bed linens are nice and crisp and clean, the beds offer a nice amount of firmness. No complaints for the sleep quality or temperature controls. The breakfast buffet is a large selection of western and oriental dishes, though the fried eggs were severely undercooked (egg whites still clear on top). Service at breakfast was non existent for coffee or tea, but they would remove your plates very fast at least. Overall, I'd stay here again, and I do when I go to Yantai.

This was my third stay in about a month. Seems like I was given the worst room in the hotel. Very disappointing for a repeat customer. The staff however, was as friendly and helpful as ever.
