Cleaner batharea would help.

Staff generally cold but that could be a cultural thing. Room was generally well clean except for an area near the entrance that is perpetually sticky. Breakfast was good for me. Room is old and there are quite a few brown water stains on the floor tiles. Very difficult to get a stable temperature when showering. Room is always stuffy as cold aircon function seems to be off. Was not able to get a good night’s rest, actually many nights. For some reasons. For a non smoking hotel, I keep detecting cigarette smoke in my room. Suspect neighbours smoking but I think the hotel do not enforce the no smoking rules. After all, it is a nation of smokers.

Honestly a bit disappointed considering the price I paid and what I got.

Carpet is very dirty, mold in the bathroom and shower head is not working properly.

Not too impressive. Aged condition.

It is not so convenient to take public transport by MRT. Asked a taxi driver at the entrance to fetch me to sight seeing location but he asked for a fixed price instead of meter reading. The breakfast is good as a lot of choices. Dinner was also reasonable priced.

Ridiculously long water foset handle in the shower being hit by the water head hose causingthe temperature to fluctuate to temperature extremes.

They don’t do cleanup everyday and rooms are too small

The hotel was in a great location. It’s right in a central location near the airport, Disney, and downtown.

Smoke coming from ventilation

There was tobacco smoke coming out from the main ventilation. That was not good.

There was no air conditioning for 3 nights we were staying there from 13 to 16 Oct 2018. Initially, we were told that there is air conditioning system maintenance for the first day when we checked in. However, the air conditioning was not available for the entire period. We were very disappointed with the hotel with an established brand like Holiday Inn.

Will stay again

The carpet was wore out, stained and dirty. The shower had mold in it.

Everything was great, really, exept for check, and after the first nice. All in the same place: the reception: which is a bummer since it’s the first thing you encounter.. when we arrived we said we booked the room for 2 nights, showed them our reservation and they, in return showed us we have only 1 night but promised it will be solved. They refused to contact hotels.com for further info, and they insisted they only have 1 night but since we showed them our reservation they said it was ok. This took 45 minutes. The evening, sure enough, the room was locked and they said that we only booked the room for 1 night, even though the reservation was for 2 night! We had to contact hotels.com, as they refused to do so (such as customer service...) and again, 45 minutes later it was ok. Not until we raised Orr voices, had a representative from hotel.com in the line and confirm, did we not solve this issue. Very upsetting.

A/C was shutdown in the middle of two consecutive nights (probably to save some money!!). When asked around, this seems to be a common practice for Holiday inn branches in Shanghai. Avoid the hotel.

As this is a business trip, room is good enough for stay

Hotel was close to subway lines. However they added on hotel fees on top of the price of the hotel rooms that we had already paid.

Reliable place to stay. Good location, easy transport access and makes for a quick trip to the airport.

Bar and Restaurant were always empty, but there was an excellent buffet type breakfast every morning, Chinese and European food. Staff were very good and helpful and all spoke pretty good English. Location was pretty good in Pudong , about a 10 min walk to subway that can take you to the Bund and the skyscrapers.
