This hotel we booked for river view and was not disappointed at all. Perfect view of Yangtze from our room at level 18, watched the light show from the room, no need to venture out to the riverbank. Room size is decent and renovated property.

This hotel has the best breakfast in China, bar none! We had friends and guests from the city whom we invited to the breakfast. The room is pretty basic, the carpets need replacing. The bar area has seen better days. We stayed in the penthouse suite on the way back, and really enjoyed the best light show in China from there. But the walls are very basic; they need decoration, some paintings on those walls. The staff is helpful, but English is a challenge for them.

We were greeted with friendly service from the doorman to the front desk staff. They even helped us get our left overs heated up for dinner. Our room was on the 13th floor and we paid about US 75. We had a great view of the Yangtse river which was really fun. The room was very clean and spacious. I was really impressed that they used biodegradable containers for the toiletries. The internet was so so, but I suspect good for the area. Huge bed. We prefer a firmer mattress with more support, but the bedding was nice. Refrigerator in room was useful for us. The walls were a little thin; we heard the neighbors TV in the morning somewhat. The only downside to being so close to the river is the occasional boat horns are a little loud in the early morning. We took taxis to see local places, like the Guiyuan Temple, which is about a 10 minute ride away. All staff were efficient and friendly, not something you find everywhere in China. We requested several bottles of drinking water and they didn't charge us extra. Although I didn't need it, I believe the front desk could speak English. We didn't try the restaurants, but ordered some fresh squeezed orange juice. When you added the service charge it came to to about RMB 34 a cup, which is pretty darn expensive and the juice was pretty mediocre (as if the oranges used were not very good). Overall, however, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider going again.

It's a bit far from anything, but not too far - 45 min walk from metro & eating options around Lan Jiang Rd. Walkway to river bridge starts opposite hotel, about an hour's walk across to Yellow Crane tower. Get a room facing riverfront (N or E) as the light show at night is spectacular.

Very friendly staff. A few hours after getting settled, the stink of cigarette smoke entered our room through the bathroom. My girlfriend has a lung condition so this was serious for us. I speculate that it came through the ceiling vent, perhaps from someone smoking in the room next door. I appreciate the staff acting quickly and sending someone to help us move, including bringing a new room key so that I didn't have to return to the lobby. This hotel is a bit isolated in Wuhan and there are only two restaurants, one of which is a bit pricey, within easy walking distance. We ate at both, but we had to taxi about 2 miles to get to any kind of business area where there were decent eating choices. For this reason, we will not stay there again.

Good location to main tourist attractions. Required to take a taxi to other parts of Wuhan as it is not in central. Hotel is clean. Should have booked for breakfast inclusive if the price can be better.

The hotel has very poor food service, the coffee shop closed for lunch and dinner, the Chinese Restaurant only offered Malaysian Food. The Toucan Bar served snack meals only. However if you turn left outside the hotel you will find two very good local restaurants within 100 meters. The riverviews are spectacular.

Booked a superior room which was actually their standard room. The beds are old and flat. Duvet was too small. The room was not renovated, the toilet door and wardrobe door could not close entirely. The staff, especially the concierge was poorly if not untrained. Nobody help us at the door and we need to move our own luggage. The only bright spot was the breakfast was okay and the F&B staff courteous and helpful. I am an IHG member and this 4 star property really needs a revamp

This is a good, not great, hotel in China. The facilities were sufficiently clean and comfortable; furthermore, the staff was friendly and helpful. The main drawback was the location. It is not terribly close to subway and there isn't much around the hotel in terms of attractions or food. Fortunately, cabs are fairly easy to get in this city and not very expensive.
