Novotel Xi'an The Bell Tower

Comfortable, easy access, lots of food and shopping area.

The location of the hotel is actually great to walk around. The only downside for me is that my room which is apparently bigger doesn’t have direct sunlight in tho there is window. So it makes the room abit sad for me. As I prefer direct sunlight.

Nice looking and very clean hotel, with cool controls for the room. Like the controls for the lights and drapes. Big tv , wish they had a few American channels. Very close to main attractions and restaurants

Very very nice service and attentive. Room house keeper gave extra water bottles and wrote a card to us to get well when she saw some medicine on table. That’s a warm and thoughtful. The hotel is quite and air-con, amenity especially the lotion and bedding are all very comfortable. Will recommend to family n couple travel if you not confident to local hotels.

Great location in the heart of city center right in back of a subway entrance. Staff are extremely friendly. Nice rooms with comfortable beds and free water and washer. Would definitely come back the next time I visit Xi'an!

Room with two full-sized beds bit too small for a wheelchair to go around, however the wheelchair can roll into the shower stall directly without any difficulty. The staff provided us a chair with the backrest in the shower stall and made the showering so much easier for my aging mother. All staffs very helpful and accommodating, made our stay a pleasant one.

A relatively new hotel that is still in excellent condition (as of March 2025). I dare say that it was probably the best aspect of my visit to Xi'an. The room was spacious, clean and very modern. Basic amenities like bottled water and fresh room slippers are provided daily and water is placed by the elevator on each floor to take as you please should you need extra hydration. The location is also perfectly central to major in-town attractions like the Bell Tower and the city wall which is accessible by a 20 minute walk to the south gate. Transit is just outside the property doors and ride hailing drivers can pick you up on the adjacent street as well. The desk staff and on-site tour agent were all friendly and helpful with requests. One thing to be aware of however is that tours you book via the on-site agent will possibly come with additional charges once you are on transportation. The fees in some instances only cover round trip transport to and from the attraction sites and may not necessarily include entry or other costs. The tours are also not English-speaker friendly and are only really suitable for Mandarin speakers. Overall, an excellent hotel with fresh facilities and good staff.

Located at the heart of Xi’an, walkable to the Bell Tower and subway (just few mins). Hotel is very clean, staffs are very helpful and friendly. Room is huge and very comfy. Love the heated toilet seat during winter and the automatic bidet. Enjoyed my stay very much! Highly recommended!

Good rooms. Good location for Bell Tower, Great Mosque, and lots of places to eat. Would definitely recommend. Only downside was rooms being quite hot with the heating.

4 NIGHTS HERE, HELPFUL RECEPTION, CLEAN COMFORTABLE ROOM, PLENTY OF CHOICE FOR BREAKFAST DESPITE FULL CAPACITIES, METRO ENTRANCE AND BUS TO TERRA COTTA ON FRONT DOOR. PLENTY OF TAXI, CONCIERGE ON GROUD FLOOR, LOTS OF EATING PLACE, STONE THROW TO BELL AND DRUM TOWER. WILL STAY AGAIN

The staffs are awesome. We stayed six nights and were very well taken care of. Nothing is too troublesome for them. The concierge Xiao Wei is fantastic. Rarely see such great customer service in hotels in western country, even the five stars hotels where we tip them so much. People here serve like it is their pleasure and duty. Room was bright and modern, super clean. A touch too warm for us, visiting from cold Canada but they promptly sent us a fan when we complained. Location is superb just beside H exit of Bell Tower metro station. Lots of restaurants, shopping and easy transit. I can not recommend this place highly enough! It also make me think China has a great future if all the people are like the staffs in this hot.

Excellent room amenities. Bed was comfortable as well as auto opening drapes. Shower and toilet were modern and a nice comfort away from home.

The hotel was nice but the free breakfast is a chaos. No hot water at breakfast and choices limited. Tables were unclean. I need to use the toilet and asked my 80 year old mom to go in for her breakfast. They did not allow her to go as they wanted all to be parent. My mom has walking difficulties and they just made her stand outside the restaurant to wait for me to come.

Even hotel not so close to the road ; sometimes hear Driver horning and some disruption during sleep

We celebrated our 3 year anniversary at the hotel and they were kind enough to decorate the room for us. The facilities at the hotel are great; adequate gym, good breakfast, laundry facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is very central close to the tourist attractions Bell Tower, Muslim Quarter and Drum Tower. Also many many restaurants.
