Bad coordination by the staffs. I was asked to upgrade to club status with full access to lounge and breakfast even though they do not have the executive club room. I accepted knowing the fact I will still be staying in a normal room. Every morning when I walked into the cafe for breakfast, they asked for my room number, and each time, they said I am not entitled to breakfast. This happened every morning during my stay. Treatment towards my relatives staying at the club room was also very bad at the club lounge. They showed the unwillingness to serve. Very bad for Shangrila standard. They do need serious
hospitality training.

After staying at two and three star hotels during my travels through northeast China, the Shangri-la was a two-night paradise. I stayed in a club room and was treated in an outstanding manner by all the staff I came in contact with, including the front desk, concierge, and Horizon Club. Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Shenyang.

Enjoyed the view from the room - you can see the city pretty well. Hotel is easy to find even in the night. However, no doorman is grating us or giving directions to where to park. We got useful information about local tourist events and travel tips.

We went during Chinese New Year. The checkin went great and the concierge was really helpful. However, we went to use the swimming pool in the night and the service in the lady's were nothing like a 4.5 star hotel. We asked where the shampoo and soap were and the staff pour some liquid in a disposable droning cup to us... Also force us out 10 mins before it is closed saying she had to catch a bus... We also wanted to use the bathroom in 2nd floor when wondering around and it seems it was closed with no sign. The hotel room was not spacious but big enough to move around in. It is in the center of the city. A couple of big shopping malls nearby.
