Vaperse Hotel Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town - Free Shuttle Bus & Registration Counter During Canton Fair

The hotel is in a very convenient area, you can take a walk and within 20min you get to many fun areas. It’s also close to the US embassy if you are there for visas and stuff. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room is spacious and that are all the good parts. What threw me off is the smell on my floor and in my room, the developer prob spent a fortune on the lobby, while the floor I was on is full of cigarette smoke smell even though it’s a non smoking hotel. The moment I entered my room there is a rush of molded air. That’s the main turnoff, other than I if you are very detail oriented, there are many small things that can add to the experience that makes the hotel below standard. There was a flickering light that was on and off every few minute throughout my stay. The lighting in front of the sink was really dark. The outlet cap in the bathroom free falls the whole time so it required two hands to plug in the outlet. The toilet cap leans right against the flush button. The bed is very hard, not the memory foam hard, but the other kind. Plus, there was construction going on even at nights and the window is not sound proof enough. All in all, I feel this hotel used to be an office and the developer pivoted the usage that’s why it was not designed to be a hotel originally and they didn’t do a thorough enough job to convert it.

Staffs are very friendly. Excellent location for shopping and various Cantonese food

The look and design of the interiors are very pleasant. It’s nice to see attention to details and quality. Check-in, out were quick. I really appreciate early check-in that I didn’t even need to ask for. The room was ready and available way earlier regular time.

The Staff is super friendly, even if they don´t speak english sometimes they try, I arrived 8 am in the morning from 35 hours flying and let me check in that early that was amazing forever gratefutl with the manager. you don´t see that anymore.

I usually dont bother to write a review, but I wanted to share my better-than-expected experience of the Vaperse Hotel as I read some reviews that almost deterred me from staying there. The location is excellent, and an underground car park is available if you are driving. Check-in was efficient, no problems with the language barrier, and it was better than the average English level if you compare it to other non-western hotel chains. I had the apartment room which consisted of an open-plan bedroom, living room and kitchen area. The lever of comfort in the room is not outstanding but practical and functional, definitely acceptable for a 4 star. Everything was clean and nothing felt too run down. Bed was actually excellent, very firm but comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Really very difficult to fault this place other than picking on minor things but if you can get this hotel on special, its very much worth it and you should have a comfortable stay.

As a frequent traveller I prefer to leave constructive criticism instead simply not returning to a hotel. Good points: Location is great. Room size and divider was amazing. Bathroom was nice, well equipped. Lobby was extravagant lots of marble. Bad points: Odd smells on the upholstery not very pleasant for a 5star rated establishment. Either a subtle room fragrant or deep steam clean of the sofas I think. Bed was very firm. Not sure if that’s a local preference. For a non smoking hotel I could smell smoke often. I even saw the guy by the lifts with a cigarette. Lack of sound proofing. So could hear staff and guest conversation in the morning around 5-8am in the corridors. Hope this helps with the improvement.

The traffic can be quite bad around that area, but the hotel stay makes it worth it.

Great hotel that is walking distances to the IFC. There are nice restaurants nearby. Also the hotel staffs were really helpful

Great place to stay to experience Guangzhou. Very walkable to park area, museum, opera, mall of the world, and plenty of street level shopping & amazing restaurants. I could have stayed here for a week and had plenty to see and do. Staff was amazing and very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The staff hardly speak English. For Canton fair so many foreigners descend upon this hotel and what is the point if you don't have English speaking staff? The breakfast place is VERY vegetarian-unfriendly. The noodles, rice etc. is not vegetarian. The omelette is made using the same pan of those eating meat or pork. How can this be an international hotel when people don't speak English and basic vegetarian dietary is not met? How?

Booked Hotel but ended in the apartment but overall the stay was good except for the 24/7 noise behind the hotel (note to ask for room facing the road instead). Most importantly, there's non smoking smell. The room was surprising big (2 x queen bed separated by sliding door), bed was comfy for me but could be hard for others. The water pressure was not strong and wifi was slow. There are food eateries nearby and subway is a shortwalk. BTW, there's shuttle service to canton fair. Will stay again

Great buffet for either breakfast or lunch, well kept premises, nice staff. A little far from a major shopping centre but a great place overall.

Nice location - room was not what we booked, issue with the breakfast which we booked with Expedia wasn't included when we got there - we have expected a King Room, but was given a apartment - no carpets only cold tile floor. Bed mattress was just solid - so uncomfortable - so for a 5 star hotel not good enough. We had to move rooms as we had a water leak at 5am in the morning - they compensated us with adding the free breakfast back onto our booking. Not many English speaking staff.
