Excellent location with top class service. Stand next to the Bund and walking distance to Nanjing Street. In-room dining is perfect. Very clean and neat. Everything is just perfect for this hotel.

Our stay at the Waldorf in Shanghai was absolutely wonderful. The highlight for me was the Panorama Room. The view over the city was breathtaking, especially at night. It felt like we had front-row seats to the beauty of Shanghai.
The staff were exceptional: super professional, friendly, and genuinely kind. Even though some couldn’t speak English, they still made the effort to communicate and were very kind in engaging with my son. It made our stay feel even more personal and warm.
I’ll be honest: on the first day, there was a bit of a moldy smell, especially noticeable in the bed. But by the second day, it was fine and no longer an issue. It didn’t overshadow the overall experience, which was still outstanding.
If you’re looking for luxury, top-notch service, and an unforgettable view, this is the place to stay in Shanghai.

This was a winner. A fantastic location, large, clean and lovely rooms, and the Waldorf Staff was so kind and helpful. I loved everything about our stay there. Breakfast is lovely, and as an American struggling with chopsticks, I really appreciated the forks. Just a gorgeous and kind place to stay.

During the two nights we stayed there, every night about 20 or more influencers would show up along with their friends/assistants. They would have their pictures taken in the lobby, in the bar area with the Christmas tree, etc. They outnumbered guests who actually paid and stayed there. The hotel turned a blind eye to them. I find this experience very unpleasant and not compatible with the price we paid to stay there.

This location has made sure they paid attention to every little detail. The staff throughout our entire stay was both delightful and helpful. They even helped us find a taxi when none seemed to be available.
As for the hotel and room itself, everything has been maintained very well. The beds were very comfortable. The sitting area was impeccable and the view was phenomenal. Even the teas were outstanding.
As for the location, I live how close it was to the Yu Gardens, good food, and some fun shopping.
I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in Shanghai.
