The hotel needs a refresh! Carpet was thread bare and the stairs leading to the beach were in desperate need of a good cleaning. All little things that add up to a not so good rating. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Buffet breakfast was good.

Location of the property is fantastic, close to the beach and beautiful Lungomare walkway as well as lovely town center, shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, beaches in Lovran are terrible so we had to drive to Medveja every day. Although hotel is old and built in communist style, it's interior is refurbished and it's actually very nice and modern which couldn't be said for the exterior, especially the pool. There is a lot of other amenities, we especially liked kids play area and the girl working there - she was very enthusiastic, just perfect with kids. Rooms are nice, spacious, clean and modern. Bathroom and balcony were not refurbished to the same standard unfortunately. Restaurant is very nice and spacious with large selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Food quality is satisfying, but could be better. Staff is very polite and hard working and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We didn't use their parking because I read bad reviews about it, but there is a lot of free parking near the hotel so it wasn't a problem at all. We had a lovely stay for more than a reasonable price, definitely recommendable.
