Constantinou Bros Athena Royal Beach Hotel-Adults Only

Our tenth stay in Cyprus, 8 of them at the Athena Royal. The other two at the five star CB Hotels Asimina Suites. Always excellent staff, friendly and helpful at all times. The food is exquisite 100% of the time. Clean as a whistle too.

A comfortable stay. Housekeeping were excellent ! In room hairdryer was of low quality and needs updating to reflect 4 star hotel rating. Planting around the grounds reminded me of my grandparents hot’ colours and shrubs scheme from the 1960’s! Could benefit from a more contemporary design.

This property is in an ideal location for the short walk along the coast into Paphos. The dining options at the Hotel are brilliant and the food is amazing. We stayed on a half board basis as we have previously done in the past. The staff are excellent, friendly and very helpful. The outdoor pools are very good (We didn’t use the indoor pool but it looked good) and there is nightly entertainment should you require it. I would highly recommend this hotel and without a doubt, we will return! Thanks to all the staff at the Athena Royal Beach for making our stay so memorable.

The hotel was excellent , great value for money. The position was just right . The staff were amazing in all areas.so helpful & always smiling . VIP was definitely worth it . Sea view room was lovely. Perfect for adults only . Only one negative. The pool was freezing , too cold to go into . Such a shame as everything else was great . I’m sure we will return . Thank you all for working so hard to make sure it was a happy experience.

Staff so polite and hard working

Stayed here for 3 days. Staff very friendly and attentive. Rooms were spotless and beds comfortable with great pillows. The food choice is huge and absolutely delicious. My brother and I loved this hotel. We were trying to work out why it isn't 5 stars. There's even a bus stop opposite the hotel and another a few 100 meters up the road. The only negative was around allergen listings on food. I have an allergy to soya. I was told that the bread didn't contain soya but when I persuaded the chef to check the packaging, it contained E471 which is soya lecethin and therefore I shouldn't have been told there was no soya. It's a common error I've found in the UK and wherever I've travelled and I suspect/hope that anyone with a severe allergy double checks in the same way I do. But it would be so refreshing if restaurants could get this right. I lose trust in all of the allergen listings once I know there has been at least one mistake. It's tiring and awkward all round to have to question food labelling, but better than being very ill or even dead. Nevertheless I would definitely stay at this hotel again as would my brother.

Excellent hotel for adults, staff are wonderful happy and helpful, food is excellent, facilities and space around the pools and gardens is perfect, not over crowded beds are 10-15 feet apart from others. Room spacious and fabulous

The property was easily accessible to beaches nearby and public transport. All the staff were extremely lovely and helpful if needed anything. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely be staying there in near future.

This was hotel was amazing Rooms well equipped, very clean and quiet Breakfast choice was varied with both European/uk and Cypriot restaurants Hotel staff were brilliant and really took pride in everything they did Good location on the beach and by the bus stop

Once we arrived we were impressed. The buffet breakfast and dinner was excellent. The only issue we had was pre arrival. We emailed numerous times to enquire about a taxi/car to pick us up from the airport and no-one replied. We ended up being fleeced by a taxi to the hotel, which was a disappointing start. The hotel apologised and were able to book us a taxi back to the airport but it was frustrating.

Got upgraded to a full suite. Room was immaculate, staff were phenomenal. Slight issue at the start due to IT system failure, but sorted on the Monday morning.

Dining staff at Aphrodite was unprofessional and rude.

Perfectly lovely venue for a break

Well laid out hotel. No rush or queuing. Ample spaces out sun beds. Lovely breakfast. Ample parking in hotel car park. Waiter service at sun beds is a real bonus. Hotel and rooms are functioning well but could do with a facelift.

Staff are so lovely and attentive. Beautiful hotel! Outdoor pool is not heated so it was chilly however indoor pool was nice!

Great location. Walking distance to the harbour. Excellent facilities and really nice staff. Food in the restaurants was very good quality.

Food all very high standard, we were all inclusive and the choice was different each day. Hotel and grounds are lovely. View is great but the beach is rocky so not really able to access the sea.

Pretty sure all bad reviews are taken down. Room had no AC w/ it being 25 celsius, told them ac was not working, & said its not turned on yet. My last night at 10:45pm maintenance shows up to "fix the ac" Good to know they wanted to fix it 12 hours before i left & they wanted to make my stay comfortable right after I paid my bill...Room is outdated from before I was born. No outlets by bed, only USB ports, if u have USBC charger, u won't have your phone next to u. who knows the last time the curtains, decorative pillows, throw blanket had been clean (they are at least 15 years old). So much dust I got sick my first day. Hair dryer cord is maybe 8 inches long max difficult to use. Beach all rock & not easy to deal with, if ur looking for an easy beach to access, walk down the harbor about 20 min. Everything outdated. had to turn in your key (was a physical key not a keycard) everytime u left the property became a hassle. Door handles are old, in my opinion probably easy to pick.Only reason I liked the hotel was because of the location. No issue w/ taxi booked by the hotel, Friday Night went out for a dinner, bolt driver back harrassed me & made inappropriate comments, and did not let me out until I screamed for help. I asked front desk how I can report to authorities, a non emergency # Guy at desk said he will get back to me the next day, no follow up. was a scary experience & would hv appreciated support Overall the stay was not great, definitely wouldn't stay again
