Playa El Colibrí in Las Terrenas was an incredible stay. It feels like a charming old country house right by the beach — cozy, peaceful, and full of character. The location is perfect, with great restaurants within walking distance and the beach literally just steps away. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast each morning was amazing. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and would definitely come back!

I’ve been to hotel Colibri 5x and I’ll continue to come. It’s amazing. I love everything about it.

we stay here for a destination party. overall, our stay was great. The property is close by to the beach. Breakfast is included. You do have to cross a small street to the breakfast area, which is located on the beach. Breakfast was great. Staff is very friendly, approachable, and helpful. we stayed in two different villas which were clean, but the biggest issue was the amount of mosquitoes. housekeeping did come in to tighten up the rooms, but we did have to ask for additional towels. I wouldn’t stay again due to the fact of the amount of mosquitoes that were in each villa. I understand that being in Dominican Republic, they will be some type of mosquitoes, but this was out of control. We had to go out and buy candles and more bug spray. It was out of control so be aware when staying here and bring the appropriate repellent. Overall, the area is very safe. You’re able to walk to different restaurants to the beach. There’s a little convenient store right next to the hotel.

This property is located on the beach. The meals are with you feet in the sand 😀 Friendly staff, spacious accommodation. My only complaint, the AC is only In the bedroom and during the day, does not work. By 10;00 pm the room finally cools down enough for a restful night .

The property was great. Amazing hotel. But the staff is absolutely clueless and all over the place. Extremely poorly managed. TV’s didn’t work, when reported to front desk I was told they were sending someone to, they never did. Check in clearly stated on the reservation 1pm. We couldn’t check in until 3:30pm. At the hotel restaurant, the food took 2.5 hours to come out and they forgot half of the orders of our group of 9 people.

Old facilities, but the pool and beach were great, nice hotel staff. If you are looking for some place cheap, front beach and with great pool, this is the place.

I like the staff especially Sergio he was very nice. Just wish there were more typical Dominican food available.

This property is great to stay if you’re a beach lover, literally 10 steps to the sand. Good food around with multiple choices, staff very friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend this place.
