Melia Caribe Beach Resort - All Inclusive

The property itself was beautiful! All the staff were very friendly! Jaciel was amazing to help us get around by golf cart taxi although there are many others getting around! The ladies at the kids club were incredible with our 2 boys and always felt comfortable leaving them for a few hours at a time. We upgraded our stay to the Level package at check in and felt it was worth it! Our dedicated concierge wasn’t as great, but after we organized dinner reservations we didn’t utilize his services and that was ok. What made it worth it was the exclusive “level” pool, restaurant and beach area. Not as crowded and better atmosphere with better quality food and drinks. The rooms are a little dated but we didn’t mind! Overall we had a wonderful holiday, stayed for 7 nights and would stay there again.

I ask for something special for my husband birthday got nothing. Went 3 times on Expedia desk always empty or they always write my room number and never follow up.

Food options were good and staff are very friendly and helpful.

We had a pleasant and relaxing vacation. The resort and its grounds are beautiful and very clean. Upon arrival, Meraly Reyes was very friendly and helped us with the check-in process. She also assisted us with dinner reservations at a couple of restaurants and with any questions we had during our stay. Eddy from Otium Tours also helped us with excursions. Overall, we had a great time, although I wish the buffet had more options and included more traditional Dominican food. The restaurants also need more time slots for reservations. Additionally, they could have more trains or golf carts available to transport us from the beach/pool to the lobby/restaurants and back.

Wverything was amazingly great

First impressions matter. If it weren't for our first 2/3 days (stayed 7), it was a great experience for our family of 5. First few days: 1. A hr long wait in the heat for the buffet the 1st nite (they have 2 but one closes down for dinner). 2. Went to the bar in front of the buffet entrance while waiting only to find no bartender there because he didn’t have items he needed. The bar was NOT crowded with only 2 others waiting. By the time I got served, my family was already at the front. 3. Once in, there were no plates so we waited another 20min for staff to bring them out. 4. Called concierge 4-5x to get extra pillows for our kids. No one picked up the first couple times. Gave up and they were not delivered to the room until the next day. 5. Woke up next day to a leaking mini-fridge. 6. Poop in the main pool on the 3rd day and it didn’t seem like anyone was coming to clean up asap. It was in plain sight from where one of the lifeguards were sitting. 7. To get from the lobby to the beach/pool area is a ~20min walk or a shuttle ride. Our first few days, they only had 1 shuttle running. Unless you were up in front or one of the first waiting at a stop, you weren’t going to get on. It wasn’t until the 3rd/4th day where they figured they should have multiple shuttles for guests. 8. Don’t buy personal items from the gift shop unless you want to experience price gouging (i.e., tube of sunscreen costs $50). Experienced more issues but limited by # of characters for this review.

Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. Though they only have certain restaurants available unless you pay extra for VIP. Also the shower had 2 shower heads and only one worked. The bathroom also have two hand cloth but no wash cloths, and the refrigerator did not work so they filled my fridge with water which was room temperature

Overall the property, service and amenities were good What we didn’t like was the constant requests for tip and everyone is trying to sell you. Prices were unreasonabley high for everything. Some higher than nyc prices.

The property was very beautiful. Many lush, well kept gardens and water features, as well as great pool and beach access. The food was decent with many options to choose. The downside was our room was a bit dated (but clean.) Housekeeping did leave thinks out in the corridors which made it a bit cluttered. Our AC was not the coolest but the ceiling fan helped a lot when we were in the room. Overall, this property was a good value for the money.

From the moment we arrived, every team member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The front desk staff were warm, professional, and efficient, setting the tone for a great experience. The housekeeping team kept our room spotless. A huge shoutout to the restaurant and bar staff, always smiling, attentive, and eager to please. They remembered our preferences and made each meal feel special. The entertainment team brought so much energy and joy to our days and evenings—we genuinely looked forward to every activity and show. Their kindness, hospitality, and genuine care for guests set this resort apart. If you’re considering a trip to Punta Cana, I recommend Meliá Caribe for its amazing people who turn a great vacation into an exceptional one. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful property and front staff were great. Especially Santiago. He helped us so much through our stay. Reservation instructions weren't clear. We had to figure it out. Cleaning staff was not as nice. Not enough chairs at the pool and no alternate so you couldn't go to the pool if you didn't have a chair. People (not staff) pestering you every single minute to buy excursions or take pics with the birds. The birds guys were extremely insistent even when saying no.

Its walkable, good food in all areas.

Property is nice however I would not stay here again. Overall there is a lack of hospitality in every area of this hotel. People are not friendly or welcoming, staff always seems busy or makes themselves unavailable. They are not curteous

Cleanliness, staff are very friendly. Food was great, Rooms were great and room service came every day. I didn’t like check in process. It took more than an hour to check in even after doing the pre check in online.

Horrible experience, got food poisoning and medic was extremely unprofessional didn’t care for my health only about money. Food was horrible. Big resort trolleys took forever to transport from place to place

Nice stay, food not very attractive, quality of food at buffet not how, and not many options, beach bar open too early, overall it was a nice experienced, a little pricy
