Occidental Caribe - All Inclusive

The rooms were disgustingly dirty the beds had bugs the sheets were filthy with stains. Blood stains on the pillow cases . I wanted to cry… it’s sad because the staff were amazing. My room was changed three times and I still had issues. The floors were so slippery I fell and twisted my ankle.

Rafael Rijo is 1 of the supervisor for a restaurant in the kitchen who did not serve my 89 years old mother because she couldn't walk up the stairs and after that he bullied her in the buffet and sent other employees to ask if we had a problem with him and laughing at us while we were dining it felt horrible we reported that to client service but i think they all cover their back i would never visit this Resort ever again not even if its free don't recommend to no body

The staff was extremely rude. Would talk about us being Americans and talk nasty about us thinking that we did not understand Spanish my first night there was a leak in the ceiling in my bathroom. I reported it multiple times. They finally have the two days came to check it. They said it was fixed and the whole ceiling and the bathroom was flooded. I asked to be changed rooms because the bathroom can be used. I told him while there wasn’t a room so I’d have to wait. I told him no I can’t wait. Had to fight without a front desk for me to get a room that it was actually had a bathroom I could use.

Our toilet overflowed as soon as we arrived, we exited quickly as the water from toilet was overflowing on the floor, we were told to return in a few minutes, the following day we noticed our envelope of cash was removed from our unpacked belongings. Hotel did an investigation and determined that because we had not yet placed our valuables on the safe that we were responsible for the theft and we lost all of our spending money, we had to go to the police and make a report. Vacation ruined

The room needs improvement and cleaning.

No me gusto el olor habitacion a humedad. El aire casi no se siente. Poca actividad en animacion , no grupo merengue como hubo la anterior vez. Eso anima mucho a todos

Me gustó muchos los edificios, las piscinas y la playa muy limpia. Excelente servicio. Buenos espectáculos.

It was an older property, so it was understandable that the room wasn’t up to date, but we did request to have someone come and fix our safe (it was broken and that was very frustrating) and no one fixed it. The buffet was edible, not the best food we’ve ever had but it was fine. If you want to make a reservation for one of the other restaurants I recommend getting in line before they open, as it seemed to book up within an hour. The pool and beach were very comfortable, we spent majority of our time there. The bars and snack bar were great. Staff was friendly but it is more difficult if you don’t speak Spanish as some of the employees English is not good. Overall, it was a fine hotel stay. You get what you pay for, it isn’t the best place I’ve stayed at but it isn’t the worst.

Estuve desde el 8 hasta el 14 de junio 2025. Fue increíble, siempre estaba muy limpio, cuando me dieron la habitación no funcionaba muy bien el aire y toilet, pero lo arreglaron bien rápido. Mí habitación era en un 4to piso con vista al mar y de verdad fue sorprendente. Había comida bien variada en el buffet. A los restaurantes de reserva les doy un 3/5, porque deberian de tener la opción de poder "modificar" algún plato, por algo que no nis guste. Las piscinas siempre limpias, ya sea el agua o los alrededores. La noche de clientes de Expedia y Premiun fue súper linda. De verdad, me encanto ese hotel.

El.servicio bueno, la atención de nuestra mayordomo Nancy espectacular. Las instalaciones limpias pero no había siete acondicionado en la discoteca las veces que fuimos y en la zona de juegos lo mismo

Everything was within walking distance. The people was friendly. The service was excellent. The facility and equipment needed update.

Check-in was quick and easy—we dropped off our bags and a bellhop promptly brought them to our room. While the A/C in the room wasn't very powerful, we didn’t spend much time indoors, as there was always something to do around the resort. One issue worth noting: the bathroom ceiling would occasionally drip due to the A/C, but it didn’t impact our stay too much.The resort is full of energy and offers something for everyone. From fun poolside performances to a wide range of daily activities — swimming competitions, kayaking, strength challenges, and more — there’s never a dull moment. The atmosphere is upbeat, and the other guests were just as friendly as the staff. Speaking Spanish definitely helps when communicating, but everyone is welcoming regardless.Security felt solid throughout the resort. I never felt concerned about my belongings, which added to the relaxed, carefree vibe. If you're in the mood to explore beyond the resort, there are on-site travel agents available to help book excursions. I highly recommend trying the boogie driving tour. Dining-wise, make sure to book your restaurant reservations in advance if you want to eat at one of the sit-down spots. For casual eats, the snack bar is open during lunch hours, and the pizza place above it opens after noon. The buffet is reliable and available throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The real highlight? The bars. Fully stocked, order anything and everything. For the price would for sure stay here again

The hotel was comfy it wasn’t bad. I heard many mixed reviews about it but it wasn’t bad at all. Food wasn’t as good. The dinner reservations had good food though. The time we went in June there was a lot of seaweed in the water.

-Incredibly rude staff, not hospitable at all -The food provided is not edible -If you do not speak Spanish, they are horribly racist and will not give good service
