Hotel Riu Palace Punta Cana - All Inclusive

Beautiful property on a wonderful beach.lots of fun things to do. The staff was amazing and friendly. This was my first trip to Dominican Republic and I look forward to going back.

Very beautiful and big hotel. We were there with our whole family and had two rooms with big balconies. The rooms were big, clean, comfortable and the design was beautiful. There were several restaurants and very delicious food. Many thanks to the hotel staff, they were very polite and they could always help us with anything...

Best hotel ever

Loved the amenities, location and vibes of this hotel. Extremely clean and the outdoor landscaping and pool areas were very well maintained. Only area of improvement is the food, it was just OK. The restaurants didn’t have many options to choose from and the quality was just ok. The buffet seemed to have better options. Overall, great vacation here!

I have been to many all inclusives and this one is average. The facilities are clean and the beach is great. I would rate it higher except for the following. 1) Food - is average, most of it is over-cooked. It is hard to get into the specialty restaurants as they do not take reservations. 2) Noise - the entertainment in the main courtyard that all of the units face goes on very loudly until 11 p.m. every night. 3) Service - at the pool it is great, at the front desk not so great. They are efficient but not friendly. 4) Miscellaneous - fire alarms in our building went off non-stop from 1:15 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. our first night. We had to go to the front lobby with several hundred other people. Management never made an announcement or apologized. Then it went off again at 7:15 a.m. Made for a very sleepless night. There is a water park within an 10 minute walk that is very small, we only spent about an hour there. Overall I don’t feel that I received the quality stay that I paid for.

The last day of the mid night fire alarm was keep on and off till up to morning. We all can't sleep and the hotel staff can't solve the problem.

Property has great location, beach and bars are nice. The rooms need freshening up and they are run down. Investments needed, otherwise the rating is going down.

As a loyal RIU guest who has visited multiple locations, I was surprised and disappointed with my recent stay at RIU Palace Punta Cana. We rented three rooms, and one was in unacceptable condition dirty, missing towels, and clearly not ready. My parents had to request a room change because of how bad it was. The other rooms were fine but looked outdated, with rusty bathrooms that didn’t meet RIU’s usual standards. One major issue was the TV not working. Traveling with kids, a functioning TV is important. Fortunately, the hotel resolved this. However, I was also disappointed by the limited alcohol selection—only Jose Cuervo tequila was available, while other RIU resorts offer premium brands like Patrón. The worst part was the fire alarm going off at 1:15 AM, lasting past 2 AM. It scared the kids, and the hotel later said it was a wiring issue. This disrupted our night and added to our frustration. On a positive note, the staff was wonderful. They truly cared about us and made my nephew’s 5th birthday special. I appreciate their kindness, but overall, this resort did not meet RIU’s high standards. I hope they address these issues so future guests have a better experience.

Lo que mas nos encantó fue la atencion de los trabajadores, demasiado agradables, cortes y demás. Mi esposo, mi mamá y yo nos sentimos como en familia porque la verdad q la atencion fue de oro. El dia que regresemos a punta cana, indiscutiblemente regresaremos a este mismo hotel. La playa es hermosa! El teatro funciona todas las noches! Hay pool party y discoteca en el hotel de al lado al cual tbien pudimos ir. Lo unico que me hubiese gustado es q el bar piscina y la piscina la cerraron un poco mas tarde, xq ya a las 6pm la cierran. Las habitaciones estan bien buenas y la limpieza espectacular. La comida muy rica... la verdad noa quedamoa con muchas ganas de estar varios dias más. Fueron unas vacasiones de lo mejor 😍

We spent 4 nights with 12 immediate family. All seniors except two adults. Everything is going smooth except on Sunday morning around 1 Am and fire alarm went off. Till 2:30 am. Every 5 minutes or less it’s sounds on and on. Most guests panic and due to poor communication from the announcement there are conflicting reports to evacuate or to wait and listen. It came off again at 7 am though it’s short. Can’t reach front desk. No explanation given till we left the hotel at 12 noon. It happened once on Saturday around noon but it’s short. No fire or policemen came. Staff doesn’t know what happened either. It really disturb sleep but it’s scary and most of our family members can’t go back to sleep at all. Front desk and dining room staff are friendly and helpful and polite. They are great. Food in buffet dining is good lots of choices though later in the evening foods get cold and less appealing on some dishes. This is my first visit to Punta Cana so can’t compare to other hotels. Beach is fantastic. Shows and parties might be great for younger travelers but not for seniors.

Food is mediocre. Layout of resort is great! Service/Friendliness is impeccable!!! The pool is too small for the size of resort! Requested 1st floor room for my husband as he has a bad ankle injury , email 1 month in advance , they did not comply , had to move rooms the next day after we arrived which was a inconvenience. Not much for shopping. Would go back to DR, try different resort.

Kind of disappointed when I was not offered the free airport shuttle for my family ( group of 8).

The rooms could of been better.

We had rooms 0171 and 0172 not connected but door entries facing each other with one common second door to the corridor. One king the other 2doubles. Spacious rooms. Garden view meaning to the adjacent bahia principe(sp?). Seating area plus balcony. Easy to accommodate a cot. Beach is outstanding 10 the week we were there mar6-13, 2025. Can’t always find chairs if you show up after 10am. The staff are happy to get them for you. They load up drinks with way too much liquor than a mixed drink would normally have. The steakhouse is worth it. Get there at six because first come first serve. They put your name down for second and third seating at 730 and 830 if they can’t accommodate. The buffet was generally full of something for everyone. Day Entertainment was minimal and night went from exceptional to lack luster depending on the night. Range of guests families to singles to couples to seniors. Went on premium snorkel. Nice outing but lots of other boats around I would say at least 15. Our lead Ramon basura was excellent and constantly took head count. We had about 15 pple. The Riu palace was my favourite configuration of all the rius.

This resort is not up to par.

Property was very clean, staff was very friendly and courteous, Dinning options were excellent. I will definitely go back.
