The manager, Sharif, is quite a character who takes good care of his guests. The rooms are modern and clean and comfortable. The building is situated close to the 9 pyramids of Giza and there are plenty of shops nearby. It was a pleasant experience overall and i would stay there again
The room was clean and comfortable, with a hot shower and clean bathroom. All of the outlets in the room were compatible with American power plugs.
Sharif offers tea or coffee on arrival. The unobstructed rooftop view of the pyramids was the best part of the stay. Sharif offers different tour packages for purchase- we opted for the guided camel ride around the pyramids and to the panoramic view point. He runs 2 or 3 other businesses in town and is a salesperson for sure, but he was cordial and straight forward, and never pushy. The property felt decently safe. Would recommend to others for sure.
The owner, Sherif, is the most welcoming host! He makes the Sphinx Palace and your time in Giza so special. He was my contact while in Egypt for 2 weeks and arranged for tours, a 5-star dinner cruise and last minute bookings as I changed hotels to stay at Sphinx Palace again near the end of my trip. He will exchange your Euros or US money at the bank for you to get the best rate. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and linens, no bugs, air conditioning, mini fridge, storage closet, freshly laundered towels and nice Arabic soap. The desk is not monitored, so you have keys for the building, like your own apartment! Sherif is available any time on WhatsApp and responds within minutes. Free breakfast is in the main living room with fresh bread, cream cheese and jam and is served with eggs cooked to order by Abdo. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 to enjoy while gazing at the Pyramids. The location is in a quiet end of the main road that runs in front of the Pyramids. I enjoyed waking up each day to see the camels & horses heading to the Pyramids gate around 8am. The views of the Pyramids, Sphinx and Giza are amazing from your room and the rooftop, where you can watch the nightly lightshow and see the town come to life when the sun goes down. Be sure to visit Sherif and his friends at his Papyrus gift shop and take a tour of his pure Egyptian essential oils factory. I bought some papyrus paintings to take home, as well as 4 bottles of oil. Will be back to Sphinx Palace soon!
